The Blues Brothers.
I once had a friend who said they never saw this movie. I never looked at them the same again.

Like the "Grand Theft Auto" series?
A fan of Michael Douglas?
Infuriated by petty annoyances?
A-holes at McDonalds won't sell you anything on the breakfast menu, even though it's only 11:35?

Then you'll love "Falling Down" one of my all-time favourite movies.

Hellboy, probably the most underrated comic-book movie in the modern age.
hated that movie could bearly sit through the whole thing the characters were just annoying cocky and the effects were cheesy and that fish guy reminded me of a mupet...

that being said go watch shawshank redemtion, The stand, Fight club, and if your going to watch scott pilgrim watch kick ass there not related but the effects and angles timing and story were all spot on for those and both are fantastic

You should check out The Prestige - early-ish Christopher Nolan. It's got David Bowie in it playing Nikola Tesla.
I was just thinking of that one when this thread popped up.

Two films that I feel have sort of slipped under the radar is Nolan's Insomnia, and Red Dragon. Both interesting stories about relatively sympathetic killers, and how they came to be.

but if you see red dragon you have to watch the silence of the lambs right after

If you like anime, then "Spirited Away" is the way to go.
Eye-candy? "Avatar".
Old-fashion action? "Kill Bill".
Comedy? "Snatch".
Shooty-shooty? "The Rock".

That should keep you busy.

12 angry men & the shawhank redemption, however if you're trying to watch movies then you've probably already seen them so, for something more obscure, I can't think of anything, but watch watchmen aswell.

Four Lions. It's a comedy about inept Jihadists, and it hits all the right buttons without being offensive. Unless you're easily offended or an Islamic extremist.

Total Recall

It's such a great popcorn flick, and on top of that the story is actually pretty damn cool. It's by far my favorite Arnold movie, and movie to pop in on the weekends when I just want to have a a great time.

Requiem for a Dream. If you have already seen it then watch it again. If you haven't watched it before make sure to approach it with an open mind as it is depressing and does not end on a happy note.

I would suggest going to go see Kung Fu Panda, mainly just because I find it to be a very awesome movie because of how Poe, the underdog, starts out being a fat panda that no one believes in, and then he overcomes his low self-esteem and proves everyone else wrong by becoming a great Kung Fu master.
