Hmm... one I haven't seen yet on this thread is tetris DS. Do you like tetris? Or some small variations of it? Then it will be a great game.

The only reason I say this is because I managed to max out the level meter on the game.

Professor Layton. Love these puzzle games.

The World Ends With You. J-RPG Action Card Game, such fun stuff.

Kirby. It's Kirby, do I really need to explain?

Mario Kart DS. Again, obvious.

Golden Sun. Took a while for the sequel to come out but so good.

Okamiden. It's Okami, it's fun.

Kingdom Hearts, either one.

All I can remember atm, besides the obvious stuff like Mario.

Well besides the obvious like Mario, Zelda etc. I'd recommend Chrono Trigger for being basically the best RPG ever, The World Ends With You is an interesting pick with a unique battle system. There is a Valkyrie Profile game for the DS taht I enjoyed along with Final Fantasy the 4 Heroes of Light which had a nice little retro feel. There's and obscure DS game called Retro Game Challenge that's pretty interesting too. Also I'd recommend a humorous title called Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja, which is really funny and quite good, I wish they had continued that series.

Also i hear plants vs zombies is also on DS.

It is, and it's actually pretty awesome. I also second the recommendations of Pokemon Heartgold\Soulsilver, GTA Chinatown Wars is pretty good and Peggle Dual Shot if you're into casual games.

So, as it just so happens, I've finally replaced my stolen DS, and now I'm craving for some reccommendations on interesting games. I play anything, from action to RPG to strategy and even story games (Hotel Dusk, Ace Attorney series). So go crazy nuts and reccommend me your favourites. Thanks and much appreciated

I'd get Rune Factory 3. It is like Harvest Moon, BUT the story has lots of combat. Farming/fishing/cooking/etc are there if you want to do them.
