Hate to nit-pick, but that still really doesn't tell me anything about the game(s). that just tells me that you like them, and for all I know we could have very different tastes in games.
i like it because its more mature. none of that crazy-haired, preppy girl jrpg shit is in this, and the combat, added the personas, is amazingly well done, and the anime style graphics are supurb for a PS2 again.
also the voice acting
I recommend Persona 3 and 4 as well, however if you didn't mention you had a PS2, so I won't go into more detail on why they're amazing until you do.

And yea, I will pick up the BioShocks when I get the chance. After hearing some of the stuff that you can do later in the game I feel like I really should give it another chance.
I normally love games like Bioshock as I said above, but honestly it didn't do much for me. It's really only worth playing if the ending twist hasn't been spoiled for you. Also from your above list you know Bioware, so I assume you've played Jade Empire? It's up to their usual level of genius, and added bonus if you like an ancient asian theme. Also you said you played the first Knights of the Old, I would guess you've played the second one? If not, DEFINITELY get the pc version of that, as the restoration mod that puts back in all the things the developers were forced to leave incomplete was restored, and also makes the game bug free.
And if I may recommend the THQ pack on Steam?
-All 3 Red Faction games: shooters where their schtick is destructable environments
-STALKER: An open-world apocalyptic game, sort of like Fallout 3 with less cuteness and more mutants trying to eat your face. Great mod scene and pretty easy to run.
-All the Warhammer 40k RTS's: I'm not a big fan of RTS, but even I like these games. Very tactical, and I thought very fun. Also I love the setting.
-Metro 2033: An on-rails shooter in the vein of Half Life 2, only much scarier. One of the most atmospheric games ever made, it will scare you, and you will enjoy it. Beware, the game is made by a developer from the old Soviet bloc, and they want to share their misery with you. It's a tough game on even normal settings.
-Saints Row 2: One of the 3 or 4 games Yahtzee has ever said that he likes. What more do I need to say?
-Titan Quest games: From what I've played and heard, basically Diablo 2 knockoffs set in ancient greece. But a good knock off, like Torchlight.
-And some other fluff but who cares.
All that?
50 bucks.

Shame about Planescape not being available...anywhere. Why is it not on steam? It would sell like crazy.
Oh most definitely. Or at least on gog.com, this is their specialty! I got mine off Amazon for 20 bucks, and so can you [http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00002EPZ2/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1278021419&sr=1-1&condition=used].
Hope this helps.
