Recomend me a game

Ok so I'm gonna buy a game, I need it to last me awhile and obviously I need it to be good. I'm interested in any genre apart from racing, rts and fighting. The game needs to be on PS3 not necessarily exclusive but I don't get much time to game on PC and 360

EDIT: Ok so the two most consistently recomended games are demons souls and arkhum asylum, since these are half price old games i could probably get both, but tell me is demons souls as frustrating as they say? Also more recomendations plz!

If you're into RTS games, get Red Alert 2 and the Yuri's revenge expansion pack (back before overprice DLC's were even a dream).

It may be ancient by today's standards, but it's a damn good game! There's nothing more thrilling than sending a squadron of zeppelins to destroy an enemy base!

Also, continue playing Oblivion. I've been playing it for five years, and am only now starting to run out of things to do. Then again, I play dozens of different characters. Point is...play Deus Ex, and play more Oblivion.

You have a PS3 and don't already own Demon's Souls? ATLUS just announced they will be continuing support for the server until Dark Souls is released, so now is the perfect time to get into it. If you wait much longer, you won't be able to play Demon's Souls online at all, and the online component is what really made it special.

Well, for games that can last you a long time, I would go for GTA4 and MGS4. Both are pretty long and fun, and they have multiplayer.

Your list lacks Demon's Souls (best action RPG ever, fantastic combat system) and Valkyria Chronicles (great turn-based SRPG with third-person shooter elements and a lovely watercolor aesthetic).

All the great games on PS3 I can think of atm are PS1 games: Vampire Savior series, Biohazard, R-Type port, Dodonpachi (bad emu).

Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5, Bayonetta and Mirror's edge are all great games but I can't really recommend the PS3 versions to much. Get those only if you don't have a good PC.

Gotta go with Heavy Rain .. as most of what I would have recommended is on list.

Demons Souls is awesome too, and if you feel inclined to take to the skies, Il 2 Sturmovik is a blast ( always wanted to fly a Spitfire from very young age).

Good luck and no matter which you pick, most everything I have seen recommended to you on other relies look great.

Minecraft. If you have Orange Box for consoles, it's worth it to get TF2 for PC. And since you have a bunch of RPGs, you might like Planescape: Torment, Spirit Engine 2 or Witcher 2.

And if you want to wait until the 27th, From Dust looks awesome.
