Ok, I now realize why people put these threads up.
Im looking for an anime show. Im in the mood for something in the near future, the setting kinda has a downtown Hong-Kong feeling, or something with cyber ninjas or whatever, and has like advanced technology and shit.
Can you help me out.

I just found a picture that planely describes what Imm looking for.

Ghost in the Shell series. That's all I can think of currently.
You probably already saw it, though.

EDIT: I forgot Cowboy Bebop. I am ashamed.

Bokurano, it has quite a bit of that futuristic stuff, and a very compelling story.

Ghost in the Shell.
Tekkaman Blade.
The Big O(Defiantly this)
Trigun(Its a western style but still really good)
Cowboy Bebop.
Cyborg 009.
G Gundam.

all these are really good.
Only The Big O and Cowboy Bebop have the Setting you mentions but all are futuristic with cool Tech and great stories.

The movie Akira [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094625/] would be perfect for you.

Nothing under the description you listed. But I'm sure they're at least one.

Cowboy Bebop (especially this one)
Darker Than Black
Death Note
Code Geass
Ghost in the Shell

All of these take place in asia, with a futuristic or present setting.

Also, FLCL (Fooly Cooly), it doesn't fit your description, but watch it anyway.

Monster.
Just...Monster.

It's like Death Note, just infinitely better in terms of plot, maturity, seriousness and character development.

Also, Code Geass, a thousand times.

Again, I had to go and rip this from another thread.

These are the following anime I would recommend others.

-Lucky Star
-The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
-K-On!
-School Rumble
-The Great Teacher Onizuka (bad production values, but a good show overall)
-Azumunga Daioh
-Midori Days
-Ouran High School Host Club
-ToraDora

And if you want a little spice in your Slice:
-Welcome to the NHK
-BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad
-Cowboy Bebop (if you must watch one of them, watch this one)
-Outlaw Star
-Trigun
-Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
-Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team
-Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex
-Baccano!
-Full Metal Panic!
-Darker Than Black
-Code Geass
-Desert Punk
-Gundam 00
-Hellsing Ultimate
-Wolf's Rain
-Kino's Journey
-Rozen Maiden
-Now and Then, Here and There (very heavy show)
-Princess Tutu (give it a chance)
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni
-Death Note
-Red Garden
-Blue Gender
-Monster
-RIN ~Daughters of Mnemosyne~
-Paranoia Agent

Just my general recommendations.

If you want cyber-ninjas, you're kind of shit out of luck in the good shows. You'd have to start looking for smaller series. Hong Kong, I have yet to see one in Hong Kong.

Ergo Proxy is the only thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned that might fit your criteria.

A.D. Police. Futuristic cop anime in which a special police force hunts down rogue androids. Kinda like Cops meets Blade Runner.

Freaking awesome; it was actually on tv daily when I was younger.

I'm thinking that we should get a larger thread up for these, since we see this so often.
