If you like RPGs, definitely get Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (it's a DS title, not 3DS but still). It's a continuation of the GBA series, Golden Sun, and all three games in the series are fantastic.

As for actual 3DS games, I'm playing a puzzle one at the moment called Crush 3D. It's really fun if you like good puzzle games, and occasionally devilishly hard. There might still be a demo in the eShop you can try first. Otherwise, I'm not sure about other RPGs on 3DS, but I think there's one in the eShop made by Level 5 (the people who made the Professor Layton series which is also awesome if you like puzzles).

I played the first Golden Sun and never got to get the second. Really pissed I haven't gotten to see how the story ends, it was a HUGE cliff-hanger. Fun game though. I really enjoyed it!

When I heard the company was going downhill, I had a bad feeling that this might happen. Goddamnit. I've spent so long collecting all these games D: That's made me really sad. Does this mean that Rune Factory Ocean's Wii version won't be coming to europe either? I really wanted the wii version, I have it on PS3, but the console is my brother's so I don't get to play it much at all. Ah well, there's always Harvest Moon!

Dont buy too many too fast! I got a 3DS 2 months ago and have SMT IV, Fire Emblem, Rune Factory 4, Pokemon Y, Etrian Odyssey 4 and Zelda Link to the Past.. they are all AWESOME and great and worth it.. but buying so many so fast has caused overload and I have gotten thru no more than 50% of all the games each.

The 3DS has amazing games

I would recommend Monster hunter 3 ultimate and Bravely default.

Just a heads up, the demo for both these games are kinda bad.

The MH3U demo have a "easy" and "hard" target. But new players who never played monster hunter will fail on easy since the monster isn't exactle the easiest and they only give you 15 minutes to deal with it. You would probably waste most of your time trying to figure out the controls, camera, getting up and getting hit.

The bravely default demo throws you at the game at level 1 with a couple of jobs and an NPC will even say "the cave to the west have weak monsters that anyone can deal with it", naturally you would go there to check it out and before you can even understand what brave and default are an army of goblins wipe your party. In this demo you are supposed to do the quest first and not explore, fighting enemies in the area of the quest, going back to town, resting and repeating the process again. Not only that but they also expect you to build norende and buy the items from there as you go but you will probably advance in th game faster than you can get upgrades and buildings from there. Despiste everything if you can go past the hard and complicated start you can get 6 hours or so of fun from the demo alone.

All the games I own have been recommended.

All that is, except Tales of the Abyss' 3DS port. It's a damn fine port and one of the best JRPGs on the 3DS. If you want an action JRPG than Tales of the Abyss is for you. It's in my opinion the best in the "Tales Of" series (sorry Symphonia fans).

The voice acting is great, the story is amazing and surprising, it's also long bug enjoyable. The combat has a lot of depth and the characters all have reasons to care about or hate them. There are very few blank slate characters in this game.

Get Tales of the Abyss.

Ooooooh, you definitely need to play the second one! It's probably twice as big a game and you get to travel by boat all over the place. Have a look on eBay because it's definitely worth a play. The DS one deals with the heroes' kids and a new complication. It's a bit easier and a little bit shorter than the first Golden Sun but it still has all the good stuff.

Dang it, now I want to play them all again!
