Recommend a good horror film.

Anybody know any good horror films that maybe aren't that well know, I like one's that have occult influences. Something along the lines of Häxan: Witchcraft Through the Ages and The Name of the Rose, thanks.

Try The House of the Devil. It's a very 80's horror (despite being made only recently) with a weak climax, but it's a decent film regardless.

I just saw Yellowbrickroad last night, and I'm hesitant to actually reccomend it...but you could check that out and see if you're interested.

Audition is a great film. I would also recommend confessions and noroi (the curse).

I stated what kinda horror I wanted to see, Event Horizon is a brilliant film.

ALIEN. The only problem with the movie is that because it made the Xenomorph iconic, the effect of seeing it is dimished now that it's apperance is common place. Other than that it is a truly great horror flick. No real occult in there, unless you count the cults that sprout up to worship the Xenos.

Any self respecting horror fan has seen The Thing at least 20 times.

You may not believe me but Exorcist 3 is a really good movie, if a tad silly at times.
Other than that all I can think of is The Shining and Suspiria.
