Simple enough, I am bored and looking for a movie to watch. Anybody who stumbles into this thread, feel free to recommend a movie for me, and anyone else, to watch.

Personally, I'm looking for something in the action or sci-fi genre, but feel free to include any must-watch movies from any genres.

Edit-edit: Well, thank you to everyone for your suggestions, I have made my choice. The movie I shall watch--for the exactly zero people who care--is... Maniac Cop! A movie from the late eighties because it has Bruce Campbell in it! A movie which no one suggested!

I was browsing a list of movies, trying to find something cool, and I clicked it solely because of the name. Now I'm watching it because it promises to be a cheesy action-horror B-movie.

So, thank you for playing everyone, feel free to keep mentioning movies for the benefit of everyone else.

Brazil by Gilliam. Very. Very. Very. Good.

Any other forumers who are reading this and have seen Brazil are obliged to vocally agree with me.
EDIT: I'm watching this right now. You should be too.

Equilibrium. Das Boot. Black Hawk Down. The Good, The Bad, The Weird.
That's all I can think of right now.

Action? Well, the Indiana Jones Films are a good choice, obviously. Saving Private Ryan is another great choice as well.

In terms of movies period, my personal favorite is The Shawshank Redemption.

Already seen it. It was pretty damn cool, and my second favorite Tarantino movie, after Reservoir Dogs.

The only thing I've ever seen by Kevin Smith was Dogma.
Talk about a great premise ruined by execution worse than that of an armless buddhist (or capcom for that matter).

Action, Eh?

How about Paycheck? Starts slow, gets REALLY interesting, ending is good enough.

Besides that, I'm willing to bet you haven't seen it yet.
