Hi all! Long time since I last posted.

I have just finished the My Litte Pony FiM series for a second time. On a side note, I am a massive pony fan. In my case, a brony. Not exactly sure what the definitive definition is of a brony, but I absolutely love the series and I am of the male audience. If you need an age, 20 X3 On another side note, a shout out to bronies and pony fans who can't wait for the new series. Seeing as I live in England, the Escapist is one of the few ways I can talk about this stuff.

Anyway, went on a major tangent there.

Basically, this has put me in the mood for comedy cartoons which you think deserve more attention.

I know of the one's Nostalgia Critic has spoken of, i.e. The Tick. And I know of others like Invader Zim. There is one I saw an episode of, about a useless super hero, the episode involved some kids on a camping trip and they dare each other to say a ghosts name, like bloody mary, and they all eventually get taken away and the hero just pops in here and there spouting useless garbage, this being the comedy. and for the life of me i cant remember the name of the show.

Anyway, does anyone have any good series to recommend?

NOTE: I am not talking about stuff like the Simpsons. I now hate that show and share Yahtzees opinion on this one.

Cartoons which gear towards older audiences.

Thanks!!!

If you liked MLP, I recommend other cartoons Lauren Faust had to do with, such as Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, the PowerPuff girls, and Codename: Kids Next Door. All are excellent cartoons with the same level of quality in both writing and animation, creativity, and characters. Invader Zim is good from what I've seen though, and I own both seasons of Sonic SatAM. The only problem with SatAM is it was cancelled after the second season, and left basically the entire story open-ended. Just as things were getting awesome...it all stops. There are several iterations of how things would continue through fanfiction, and some of them are actually quite good.

Invader Zim
Hey Arnold
Angry Beavers
Outlaw Star
almost anything that appeared in the 90s on toonami I'd say.

A movie that I think came out now in america is Redline, I have no idea what its about but its trailer is pure animation candy.

Maybe just a wee bit overboard with it, but I think for the action genre at least Mrm hit the nail with this one. If you're looking for something more along the lines of comedy though, Pinky and the Brain and Animaniacs are probably some of the best for their field. And on a side note, they show you were thinking about was Freakazoid.

That there should be the episode.

Clone High. I thought this show was brilliant but it only ran for one season because it was MTV which is too cheap to pay for anything but unscripted reality shows. It's produced/written by the guys who made Scrubs.

You should check out Silverhawks, a show I enjoyed a great deal in my childhood. I've only just remembered it existed so I don't remember much about it, but I do know it was awesome.

Avatar The Last Airbender! One of the finest cartoons ever, with great characters, an interesting concept and it has its really funny moments. ... Then M Night Shyamalan had to make a crap movie, but that doesn't matter, it truely is amazing. WATCH IT!

I would also reccomend Beast Wars Transformers. It may be a bit silly at times, but in my opinion this is the best Transformer cartoon by far. This show had the Transformer equivalent of Kenny from South Park, Waspinator.

These shows are both quality and I love em so much.

Adventure Time and Invader Zim. Both of them may have been slated as "kids" cartoons but the humor is so off the wall and there are tons of jokes that only those of the geek persuasion would get.

ExoSquad, a remarkably well-written action show.

SWAT Kats, one of the more unique entries from the days when Cartoon Network actually showed cartoons.

TaleSpin, probably my favorite Disney Animation.

The Spectacular Spider-Man, the best depiction of Marvel Comics' best character.

Batman Beyond, a look into the future of Gotham City.

All fantastic material.
