Recommend me a cute anime

Not sure whether it'd be considered 'cute' or not, but I found Hayate no Gotoku! (aka Hayate the Combat Butler) to be rather hilarious, and if you watch a lot of combat-oriented Anime (Gundam, DBZ, Rurouni Kenshin, and a few others) there are a lot of references to them throughout which made me chuckle. I'd personally call it cute, but that's just me.

OT: Hmmm *peruses*, a couple new ones just out, the ones that come to mind being A-Channel and Nichijou. An older one could be Kobato. Oh, and Aria!

The last one is not cute per se, just very very fluffy. It's essentially 53 episodes (3 series and an OVA) of nothing much happening in the lives of 6 girls (who are gondoliers) on an aqua/terra-formed Mars. Watch now and relax... (give the manga a go as well, as the backgrounds are unequalled in detail and quality IMO).

I thought Princess Jellyfish was pretty cute, but felt kind of truncated. Probably could have gone a full season.
Oh! Edo Rocket is cute/actiony with a fun story.
Kamichu is just damn adorable, looks very Ghibli. It felt like it had potential to become more dramatic eventually, but it kept it pretty light which wasn't a bad thing in this case.

'School Rumble' Tenma ftw!

'Spice and Wolf' surprisingly brilliant romance with a mature yet tame tone to it. Everything is tasteful and tensly built up as the relationship between a wolf goddess and a smart merchant grows and evolves.

Edit: Preference reason is that I dont get the same cuteness feel with Yaoi manga. But if you know one like that I'll gladly peek at it.

Personally I like UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie. It's cute and includes my favourite weapon ever, the cat-girl ray gun (which I am attempting to reverse engineer)
