Hi, my name's Vince, im 24 and I live in the United States. I have recently become bored with the gaming market with there being nothing worth getting. Before you say anything, I've played and beat Assassin's Creed 1 & 2, Modern Warfare 1 & 2, and Mass Effect (I plan to get ME2 eventually.) I dont want to play Dragon Age: Origins or Demon's Souls. I have a 360 and a fairly decent PC rig.

So what i am asking from my fellow Escapists is i want you all to recommend me a game, ANY GAME and which ever game gets the most reccomendations, I'll go out, buy the game, and write an honest and unbiased review of the game. It could be one long review, or a series of short reviews if I can get my hands on the games you guys (and girls) suggest.

I'm really bored with video games and I need something to rekindle that spark I once had when I played Super Mario Bros 3 for the first time.

EDIT: Games I've played already: Portal, ALL Half-Life, Bioshock, L4D1, Wet, Oblivion (not enough time to play Open world Bethesda games).

Portal, Overlord I and II, Left 4 Dead 1 or 2,

All of those will hold your time, as they have mine.

Ninja Gaiden 2. It'll keep you occupied as you try to beat it. Then (if you beat it), you'll come back and wonder what was so hard about it. Then you try the next difficulty up and cry.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say FF XIII. *Gets neck cleaved in two by someone*
If not that, maybe Red Faction or Fable 2 which is pretty good if you can ignore all the hype that had surrounded it on release and what you've heard of it from around this site and anywhere else. But it is only good for one play-through really unless you get the GoTY edition.

True, quite a good game. I really like Resident Evil 5 too, actually. It basically threw any remaining old school Resident Evil elements out of the window and turned up the action, but damn is it fun!

Far Cry 2 has to be one of the most addicting single player games i've ever played. The story is lackluster but works perfectly for the situation (if the story were more fleshed out the game probably would have ended up being rather pretentious), the gameplay could use tweaking and the graphics can make your processor gasp for air if you try to run it with Directx 10, but the open-world representation of a war-torn third-world African country is so immersive and beautiful that you just can't get yourself out of it. Plus it's only $20 on steam.

that's my reccomendation.
