nope, havent tried any FFs, come to think of it, the only jrpg ive ever played was pokemon i think. so yea, i might go see if jrpgs suit my taste ;/Slenn said:Hmmm... I know this may seem like a dumb question, but have you tried any of the old school Final Fantasies? If you like turned-based combat then I think you should try the original FF Tactics for the Playstation (that is if you have a PS or PS2)
ive played AA, and i liked it but its not the kind of game im looking for now as its not really an rpg, more of an action game am i right?TerribleAssassin said:Batman: Arkham Asylum Best game of 2009.
one question though, do i have to have played the previous 3 to be able to enjoy it fully? cos thats one of the reasons i havent really touched jrpgs like ff and persona, because it seems like im way behind time in the seriesArisato-kun said:![]()
Persona 4 is the best RPG I've ever played. It'll definitely keep you busy. Story is great, characters are all lovable, battles are fun and challenging and the fusion system is deep. I really can't recommend this game enough. It's a near perfect experience.
No, they're not connected. If you start playing Persona and like it, you should start playing other SMT games. The entire series is great.Reuben Ezekiel said:nope, havent tried any FFs, come to think of it, the only jrpg ive ever played was pokemon i think. so yea, i might go see if jrpgs suit my taste ;/Slenn said:Hmmm... Persona 4 has a stand alone story. All the Persona games do (barring Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment but those are both Persona 2 split up into two games). They'll allude to something that happened in a previous game but it's not nearly enough to keep you from enjoying the game and is more an attempt at fan service if anything. You can play it with no worries.Reuben Ezekiel said:one question though, do i have to have played the previous 3 to be able to enjoy it fully? cos thats one of the reasons i havent really touched jrpgs like ff and persona, because it seems like im way behind time in the seriesArisato-kun said:![]()

You know what pissed me off about Vesperia? The achivements. "Haha, you didn't do this random thing we didn't even hint at being able to do in a boss battle, so you don't get an achievement".Ghostwise said:Tales of Vesperia. It's a jrpg in the truest sense but it is freaking awesome. The combat is real time, you can fly a dragon, sail a boat, gamble, amongst other things. There is a massive and gorgeous overworld map to explore. No random encounters either. The game is a true gem and it is hard to find. Hell it still goes for 45 dollars used it is so hard to get a hold of. Any rpg fan owes it to themselves to play it.
Wait... did you just copy and paste your exact same post from the games you cannot criticize thread?Arisato-kun said:![]()
