Recommend me a good Fantasy/War/Historical Film who've seen

Yeah, like I said, I know little of Greek history - outside of it's capacity to inspire large scale war films it doesn't really interest me I'm afraid - apologies if my ignorance in this field upsets you, but the fella asked for Fantasy, War or Historical films, and I figured Troy could cover two or maybe three of those criteria, being a film with a lot of war, based on a tale that may be historical or mythological.

Yeah sorry about that... kinda acknowledged that halfway through the paragraph I posted (not very well, mind)... didn't bother changing what I'd written before... -_-

But really I think Glory is pretty good so is Gangs of New York.

For Historical War movies there's come and see. It's not a very "fun" movie, though and a certain decision for the sound design of larger parts of the film makes it rather tedius to watch.


There's also Waltz with Bashir which is very interesting visually if a bit trippy at times. Nice Music, too.
