Recommend me a multiplayer shooter!

Perhaps it's the infectious Christmas spirit but I feel like getting a multiplayer fps. What's the best out there?

i liked star-wars battlefront 2, it's 6.00$ on steam right now. it's both single and multiplayer. i got about 100 hours on it before tiring myself out. i still play it from time to time and the servers are active.

This seems like an easy question and one that I can answer in seconds. TF2 now that its gone F2P its even better to convince you friends to download it, easily on the best FPS's around even if you have to pay for it.It can take some getting used to though and finding a class you enjoy other then the sniper is hard.
