Bioshock is pretty cheap now and and very very good, though its less jumping around and incredibly based on the environment and story.

Gradius!

I kid, I kid.

Serious Sam 1 & 2 are the best FPSes in my opinion and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Free game, a bit like Quake, amazingly free, real-time editing, small but awesome community, intense gameplay.

If that doesn't satisfy you, try TF2.
Ugh, Cube -.-
The horribleness of that game is beyond measure. Only thing it has going is that it's free.
...
Wait, what?
How so oO

Serious Sam (either of the HD ones), they are the pinacle of jumping around and shooting stuff.

Red Faction, just download the Pure Faction mod to run it on 64-bit systems :)

Killzone 3, or Half-life 2.

No Just go get the orange box. 3 Different kinds of shooters in one game.
Good god, this. Especially for TF2. Not remotely realistic, lots of mayhem.

Unreal Tournament (any of them, really), Painkiller as mentioned, Bulletstorm (though it's not quite cheap), Serious Sam... Wow, so many of the good chaotic shooters are old =/

painkiller was really fun, duke nukem forever is coming out soon(finally!), borderlands was surprisingly good and just cause 2. all these are over-the-top fun and you will not find a hint of realism in any of them

Yeah, my friend tried to get me exited of it but it was a little too fast paced for me. But I wouldn't call it horrible though. Insta gib mode was kinda fun.
I'm sorry, but my idea of "fun" doesn't involve having to either be a FPS-savant/godchild or spending hours upon hours to hone your reaction-time up to the point where you can dodge lightning. Everyone moves so incredibly fast that hitting someone with instant-gib sniper-rifles that has the crosshair the size of a hairpin becomes rather ludicrous.
Yes, it was okey playing on my school-lan with equally skilled (i.e new to the game) players, where you had a fair chance, but when you come online, taking down the ubernerds that spend day after day playing that game and will cap you the moment you pop your head from cover, the "fun" ends.

True, you could make this argument for any FPS, but others (Halo come to mind) have the decency of a rank-system, where you are matched towards players of the same average skill.

Buuuut, it's free.
Well I don't see how you get that impression, because the majority of Sauerbraten is inhabited by people who just hitched along to get a free game and aren't that good at shooters, leaving you with plenty of newbies and not too many people who stick with the game and get good.

I recommend ARMA 2 Operation Arrowhead even if you don't like realism, it's awesome.
