Backspacer by Pearl Jam
Into The Wild by Eddie Vedder
The soundtrack to 'O Brother, Where art thou?'
Wicked Ways by Waylon (a dutch singer, but he's signed to Motown for a damn good reason)
The American Recordings (all six of them) by Johnny Cash

That should keep you busy for a while.

Puzzle by Biffy Clyro. Amazing band, amazing album. I don't see how you can't like the Scottish accent of Simon Neil, it's just too sexy.

Dark Side of the Moon is fantastic as well. I'm genuinely torn as to which I like better.
I actually prefer Dark Side of the Moon. But more people have heard of it, and more people need to listen to Wish You Were Here.

Since I have no idea what sorts of music you like I'll just post some albums that I think are great from different genres.

Dubstep: "Untrue" by Burial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ni7NoQXq13k
IDM: "Geogaddi" by Boards of Canada http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7bKe_Zgk4o
Post-punk: "Vs" by Mission of Burma http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MV8-vy2OKdY
Noise Rock: "Super Ae" by Boredoms http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC2vqPHUw7s
Shoegaze: "Loveless" by My Bloody Valentine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0dJqlvOSq4
Post-rock: "F#a#infinity" by Godspeed You! Black Emperor
pt 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRXLLqWTiPo
pt 2:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp4vL9M8E3s

"Post Bulletin" by the Flaming Lips is probably one of my favorite indie rock records but some one's already mentioned it.

Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From a Memory by Dream Theater is my absolute favorite album. It's got a couple of heavier songs in it, but it's really awesome. The entire album tells a story which is half the reason it's so awesome.

Demon Days by Gorillaz
Jar of Flies by Alice in Chains
The Devil's Bris by Voltaire

Listen to these albums. Or just listen to anything by any of these artists. It's all* good.

*Save perhaps Plastic Beach by Gorillaz, but I really do love everything else by all of these guys, so listen to it. Also, even if you didn't like one of the albums I listened to, listen to a different one by the same artist, cause every album by all of these artists has a different sound. Slightly less for the Gorillaz.
