You're the 2nd person to recommend Under the Dome.
Under the Dome is "okay". The major selling point is that it's really fucking long. If you want a really fucking long Stephen King book to read, I'd start with The Stand. Under the Dome is a good book for when you're desperate and just want something hefty to eat through an entire month. And yeah, the TV show is based off it but looking at the cast list they've shuffled some characters around.

I'll do that. I'm really thinking of getting the others you suggested but they cost less than a credit!

ITMT, I wonder when book 3 of Kingskiller comes out. Absolutely one of the most terrific things I've ever listened to. A cross between Batman, Conan and Harry Potter. Spectacular.
Abercrombie! Get the Abercrombie books!

Glad you liked Rothfuss. I really enjoyed those books as well. No idea about the timing of the third one. Rothfuss has developed George R.R. Martin syndrome and is taking his sweet ass time with it. I assume it has something to do with unruly beards.

I'm creating a list and this is at the top. I've started listening to Storm Light: The Way of Kings Book One. I'm Cranky at the moment, missing the narrator from the Kingskiller books. I do think that narrator will grow on me. Over 90 hours of listening time. The reviews at Audible are very positive and it was recommended in this thread.

Ah. It's the beards. Definitely! But seriously, at this point, Kingskiller is even more my speed than Game of Thrones. I wonder who will win?

My hopes are up: Book 1 (2007) four years later Book 2 (2011). It is now 4 years later (2015). I can dream :)

Game of Thrones:

A Game of Thrones (1996)
A Clash of Kings (1998) 2 years
A Storm of Swords (2000) 2 years !!!
A Feast for Crows (2005) er 3 years
A Dance with Dragons (2011) 6 freaking years. WTF!?!?!?
The Winds of Winter (forthcoming) Ulp. We going to have to wait to 2017?
A Dream of Spring (forthcoming) 2023. Hrrrm. I'll be almost as old as George myself by then.

World War Z .
I will definitely get this! Sounds awesome! I'm maintaining a list. This is right after the Abacrombie books referenced above. Thanks for the tip.
