Recommend Me an RPG (pls)

Can't recommend P3 or P4 enough, and you can get P# on PSN for a good price. Also, there are a number of great classics on PSN, such as Xenogears and Vagrant Story, that Id recommend.

I second that. I think you should go see what PSN has to offer with their PS1 classics. In my opinion the original PlayStation is the best JRPG system in terms of quality and quantity. I have a shelf lined with PS1 JRPGs. Xenogears is my favorite game of all time (thus my avatar). If you want a long and detailed story with a great cast of characters this is the game.

There are also many others like Vagrant Story you could check out. I'd also recommend Grandia. These games are only 5.99 or 9.99 making them a steal.

I mean this may not be what your looking at but Mount and Blade the character's fight but there is no real plot besides there are six nations at war and you are a mercenary.

Persona 3: FES is available on the PSN now, if you have access to a PS2 get Persona 4, it pretty much fixed nearly everything wrong with 3 (Non-AI controlled party members for the most part) but both of them are absolutely phenomenal games, ESPECIALLY if you love interesting characters, the biggest game mechanic is built around meeting and becoming closer with the NPCs in the game and your party members

Dragon Age: origins, good, varied characters, with a decent, long story, and if you really like characters and don't mind playing repetitive dungeons then you could give the second one a shot
