I recommend Sins of the Solar Empire, extremely deep game, and I don't think it got the attention it deserved. The game is kind of a cross between a RTS like starcraft, with huge groups of units, base building/expansion, resource gathering, realtime battles, but it also has a slight turn based element like Civ where your planets are actually colonies which have loyalty, taxes, etc. There are three different races, each with their own advantages, being culture, economy, or military. One of the races has a superweapon which allows you to flip the culture of player's planets causing riots, lower tax income, and eventually allowing you to take controll of their planet without even firing a shot.johnman said:Played all of those sorry and have grown tired of them - im lookign for somthing even deeper.KeyMaster45 said:Hrmm, I'm not a regular to RTS's but I would recomend Warhammer 40k and its subsequent expansions, Rise of Nations Gold Edition, Warcraft and Starcraft, Age of Empires.
I'll let ya know if I think of any others.
Its got an excellent multiplayer, and actually lets you save multiplayer games anytime allowing you to resume games with your friends at any time.
If you're a hardcore RTS fan, I think you'll be relatively disappointed with dawn of war 2. I know I was, and I was a huge fan of the original dawn of war and expansions.
People are just going to recommend it because its new and shiny.
