I'm going with what I said last time.
Chrono Trigger. It's on the SNES, PS1, and the Nintendo DS. Play it.

What console would this be on?Therumancer said:Tales Of The World: Radiant Mythology can be fun also, a "Tales" game crossing over characters from the various worlds/series where you get to create your own character, level them up, and choose from a number of differant character classes.
Don't worry, I heard it was crap anyways.Flying-Emu said:This does not please the Emu.
Because it was boring, monotonous, and uninspired.liamlemon7 said:Lord of the rings the third age
(no one but me thought of this!)
This also does not please the Emu. Oh well. I'll find another game to sate my interests.-Seraph- said:Don't worry, I heard it was crap anyways.Flying-Emu said:This does not please the Emu.
Well, I kind of liked it, but you have to enjoy the "Tales" games quite a bit and half the fun comes from the high geekdom of seeing characters from the various games interact.-Seraph- said:Don't worry, I heard it was crap anyways.Flying-Emu said:This does not please the Emu.
OK, granted. It is possible to play the third Xenosaga without playing the other two, but why spend 30 hours reading when you can play through Xenosaga 1+2 and see what happens? With flashy cutscenes! And you can import your savegame and get goodies ^-^PedroSteckecilo said:LIES! I managed to have a great time with Xenosaga 3 having never finished the first one, and never played the second one. Though I would recommend reading up heavily on the storylines of both previous games, or you won't understand a damn thing in number 3.Xerosch said:The three Xenosaga games are pretty well done with part 3 being the best, but it's necessary to get through the solid first and meh second before.
Star Ocean: TTEOT annoyed me. It was OK at first, but as I went on it became more obvious that combat system is SERIOUSLY flawed. Basically, if you don't break it, you're screwed since exploiting whatever you can (crafting Fayt an ultimately powerful weapon and spamming Side Kicks for example) is the only way to handle the bullshit-overpowered enemies and APPALLINGLY dumb ally AI. After playing Star Ocean and then playing Tales of Symphonia (which lets you disable certain skills from your allies' arsenals so they don't use the wrong spell at the wrong moment and also set ally skills to your c-stick so they can be triggered when YOU want them) I asked myself "why the fuck wasn't Star Ocean like this?" I got NEAR the end (Sphere Company) but when I met the tanks that could guard break over an area and kill the main character in 3 hits which can't be interrupted and are difficult to dodge I just decided "fuck this". It's not like I don't have a thousand other games to play.MmmFiber said:The twist at the end was retarded and the game lost its "feel." Are you talking about when those new enemies come at the end... where its just those enemies around a dirt/rock landscape? If you are, then, yes it was extremely hard. But after that little patch I had no problem. I dont mind the difficulty so much. It just makes me want to get my characters and my strategies stronger.Zayren said:Someone said Star Ocean: 'Til the End of Time. I have to say no on that one. I actually liked the plot, unlike most people, but the ending was just annoying. The devs took the cheap way out of making it difficult towards the end: enemies with absurd damage and barely any experience, making an annoyingly slow and painful experience grind.
I usually played as maria, cliff, or nel(rarely). Maria can stay away from the action and deal massive amounts of damage. Crafting makes the game easier. I dont know, I thought the gameplay was fairly intuitive after a while. But then again... I dont exactly mesh well with fps games. To each his own, I say. I had a lot of fun playing the game, though.Arcane Azmadi said:Star Ocean: TTEOT annoyed me. It was OK at first, but as I went on it became more obvious that combat system is SERIOUSLY flawed.
