You mean kick ass like actiony and stuff?

The Fugitive was a great thriller, I reccomend that.
I also liked Indiana Jones 1 and 3, although I never saw the second.
How to Train Your Dragon as well, a great animated adventure that I really enjoyed.

How about any of Adam Sandler's comedies, we all love them :)
Favorites being; Little Nicky, Happy Gilmore and Billy Madeson.
Not all of us! At least any of his new stuff. Sadly he suffered the comic illness know as "The Steve Martin Effect" where he is destined to only appear in films so unfunny that people might never remember that he did actually make some really funny films when he first started out.
Yeah, I stopped watching pretty much all comedies at this point. None of them are funny any more.

No mention of Harry Brown?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVOSfHFNlcI Possibly one of Caines greatist roles.

"A modest law-abiding citizen, Harry Brown (Michael Caine) is a retired Marine and a widower who lives alone on a depressed housing estate. His only company is his best friend Leonard (David Bradley). When Leonard is murdered by a gang of thugs, Harry feels compelled to act and is forced to dispense his own brand of justice. As he bids to clean up the run-down estate where he lives, his actions bring him into conflict with the police, led by investigating officer DCI Frampton (Emily Mortimer) and Charlie Creed-Miles."

I would have to say two of my favorite bad ass movies would have to be Desperado and Punisher: War Zone.

I'm not really sure how serious you are with this list. By that I mean do you want movies that take themselves straight up? Or are somewhat funny, more self-aware or silly movies still good if they have totally sweet action. If I'm recommending anything I think is badass I'd say old school Chan movies. The entire Police Story series has some amazing stuff 1, 2 and 4 (also known as First Strike) in particular. Armor of God, The Drunken Master and Legend of the Drunken Master. There's a huge amount of old school Jackie Chan, and the action in all of them is just fucking stellar, made better by the fact that he does every stunt in those movies.
If martial arts isn't your thing, you list doesn't seem to have Blade Runner which is pretty quintessential.

Well with this as the second post, how the heck can I add anything?

'Shoot 'em Up' is just a hilarious, over the top kill fest. I freaking love that movie.
And adding Tarantino and Rodriguez is just unfair! I mean, that encompasses so much bad-assery: Kill Bill, Inglorious Basterds, Sin City, Deathproof, Planet Terror, the El Mariachi Trilogy, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs...I mean, it's a bad-ass overload!

I would, though, also throw in: the Transporter series (Not for the stories or acting, but the fight scenes), Legend of the Drunken Master (Just the scene with Jackie Chan and that stool is freaking epic), Ong Bak and The Protector (Again: forget the bad story, just love the fight scenes), Supercop, Rumble in the Bronx, and the Once Upon a Time in China Trilogy.

I dare anyone to grab all of those films, book a few days off work to watch them all, and try to not walk around and act like a ninja/bad-ass fighting machine. You can't. It's too awesome.

ohh, Badass movies. Not bad ass-movies.

You could easily end up with some moves that are ass, or movies that include a lot of ass. Or both.

I can't believe no-one has mentioned So Close yet. My favourite action film of all time.

Unlike the dark, gritty (and cliched, and overused, and boring) realism of most modern action films, So Close goes for a sharp, pristine look that feels like it comes straight out of a fashion catalog. It's completely silly and over the top, with a plot that doesn't quite make sense, but that just somehow makes it even better. Highly recommended to everyone here.
