I know fuck-tons, yes, and I'll only mention ones not mentioned above. I will say that I stand behind the recommendations of Hannibal, Suits, Falling Skies, Supernatural and Black Sails.
- The Tudors. If you don't like GoT, but you still like medieval stuff, The Tudors is for you. Historical and all that instead of actual fantasy. Still has sex, but luckily less so than GoT.
- The Borgias. Basically The Tudors: Pasta Edition. Maybe not as good, but still a good historical watch.
- Vicious. Short British sit-com (only 7 episodes so far) starring Ian McKellen as a bitter old actor who thinks he made it big, constantly trading the most vicious (title drop!) insults with his gay partner. It's hilarious, Ian McKellen has so much fun in it.
- The Shield. Basically the show that paved the way for The Wire.
- Oz. Another show that helped pave the way for The Wire, this one however set in a prison.
- Agents of SHIELD. When it finally gets going it's fun, B-level action stuff. Don't think too much of it though.
- Fargo. Surprisingly good TV adaption of the Fargo film. It really catches that small-town, banal feel the movie had.
- Orange Is The New Black. You might have heard of it before, very good and very funny, bitter-sweet show about life in a woman's prison. Fantastic characters, maybe a bit too much (lesbian) sex.
- Mad Men. Very good character piece set in the American advertising world of the 60's. It's very nihilistic, focuses heavily on characters and 60's cultural developments.
- True Detective. How to explain this show... It takes a relatively safe, conservative premise and detective show tropes but works them out in such a wicked way. It's hard to explain, but the show has fantastic characters and an amazing atmosphere.
- Parks & Recreation. You probably have heard of it as well, but I like to describe it as an American adaptation of The Office UK that actually properly plays to its strengths. It's hilarious in any case.
- 30 Rock. Not an obscure show either, but I just so love Tina Fey's work.
- Luther. If the latest, shitty seasons of Sherlock and Doctor Who has made someone worried that the BBC lost its touch, Luther shows that they definitely still have it. Idris Elba is absolutely brilliant in this, one of my favourite detective shows.
- Downton Abbey. British classic, great characters and a very interesting story about aristocracy having to adapt to modern times.
- Deadwood. One of the few actually good Western shows.
- Hell On Wheels. Filled the gap that Deadwood left, though not as good as that. Bit more action and stereotype-oriented.
- Battlestar Galactica. My favourite sci-fi show out there, fantastic premise, great characters, lovely story. The last season though is a little iffy.
- Stargate SG1. My second favourite sci-fi show. Amazing fun, very B-level but done oh so well.
- Firefly. Nothing really needs to be said about that one eh?
I'll leave it at that. I watch too many shows dammit. I could also list some animated stuff, but eh.
