Recommend me some good visual novels

I've been reading a few visual novels lately, and I was wondering if you escapians have any suggestions. I'm looking for some good visual novels on pc. I don't care much about the genre, as long as it is good. I don't mind adult content either, as long as it's a good story (so no hentai, but it's fine if it has sexual content).

Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

As far as free, English language VNs go, I have two suggestions:

Katawa Shojou just came out and is amazingly good. The topic is a little bizarre, a romance set in a school for the disabled, but the characters are brilliant and the stories of all routes are impressively well written. There is explicit content in all routes, but there is an option to turn those scenes off.

I also enjoyed True Remembrance, a slightly atypical VN in that you have no choice whatsoever, you're basically just reading a book. The story takes place in a vaguely post-apocalyptic world that has seen some sort of psychic illness similar to an infectious depression has swept the globe and follows one of the psychic doctors (they have a name, I forget what) who is trying to cure people.

I've heard good things about the free indie games, Digital: A Love Story, and Don't Take it Seriously Babe, This Just Ain't Your Story. But, I've yet to play them...

Not sure if you've seen the relatively recent post on the Escapist about this new Romance novel katawa Shoujo - I'll refer to a link as it explains it much better than I can
I'm certainty full of praise for it, never read a visual novel before except for this one out of curiosity, but that soon turned to full-out praise, could have never imagined it myself, its honestly THAT good.
On a side note yeah it has about 2 or 3 explicit scenes in it but it is by no means a hentai game, the romance in it really comes to life in those scenes if you'd ask me, and yeah there's the option to turn it off as well in the options menu, which would be a rather silly thing to do as it really doesn't involve 'showing off' all that much.
