Bryan Scary and the Shredding Tears.

Rather than sing songs about love and war and peace and all the bleh, this band will kidnap your imagination and take it on an unforgettable joyride. Your eyes will glisten with boyish wonder as you hear stories of legendary airships, interplanetary ambassadors, a vengeful old lady, and a foxy master art thief.

Once you hear "Imitation of the Sky" you'll be left hungry for more:

Sounds like some strange mix of The Who and Dream Theater

I wanted to recommend System of a Down, but I saw it in your list already. However, I encourage you to listen to all of their work (5 albums) as well as the solo work of the two lead singers, Serj Tankian (2 albums + some singles) and Daron Malakian (Scars on Broadway).

Fucking love this band! They have songs that fit EVERY mood!
Yeah I used to listen to them a lot before I had last fm, great stuff
