Well basically, ive bought a new PC
1.5 TB memory
7 GB RAM memory
Windows 7
Intel core I5
NVIDIA Geforce graphics card( with CUDA )

I enjoy shooters, strategy, RPG, and basically all genres of games
An RPG, shooter, or a " action/adventure" game would be prefered

Does anyone know any good games that would run on my PC, and i would enjoy from what ive said above?

Also, I don't really know about DRM, so does it basically limit the amount of times you can install a game onto your PC?

Thanks

EDIT- sorry, i didnt post my PC's graphics card properly, its a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590

Although those are rather vague specifications: you can play anything with that system.

DRM has never affected me in any practical way.

RPG (shooter, adventure): Fallout: New Vegas
Shooter (multiplayer): Counter-Strike: Source

Shooters:
The Modern Warfare and Black Ops games.
Team Fortress 2- great class-based teamwork multiplayer.
Left 4 Dead 2- entertaining and funny co-op shooter

If you enjoy all kinds of genre, then you'd might want to check out some Popcap games like Zuma and Plants vs Zombies. Steam has a fantastic library of games to choose from too.

I downloaded Minecraft once, but it kept saying i needed a premium account to play, so played the browser version instead
browser version is just a sandbox but the real game is much more fun as you have to work for all resources and you can see animals and monsters and make weapons and die

you need to buy an account to play survival mode. it's only $20 witch is about half as much as you would pay for some other game.

Team Fortress 2
Killing Floor
Monday Night Combat
Dawn of War 1 and 2
Civilization 5

Those are some off the top of my head. They have provided countless hours of entertainment for me, and they're all DRM-free.

As for how DRM affects PC games, there's actually a few variants out there. Some forms limit the number of times you can install a game on a computer. Others require that your computer stay connected to the internet, regardless of wheter you're playing a multiplayer game or not. If you stay away from PC games published by EA or Ubisoft, then you probably won't have to deal with DRM.

Although in your case, it's installing it.

It's a science fiction action RPG sandbox.
That's what wiki calls it. It's also a shooter.

It's also the greatest game evar. There's also a bunch of mods and texture packs for it.

Get it on Steam.

GOG.

Large catalog of classic RPG, RTS, and numerous other games. About $6 to $10 a pop.

I'd avoid Minecraft at the moment. It is low on content and fairly dull.

If you want a challenge then pick up Dwarf Fortress, but it has a fairly steep learning curve. Also a graphic pack wouldn't be amiss, as the bright ASCII art can be a bit painful on they eyes.
