Currently, I've been gaming on my 360 for the most part, with the glorious Deus Ex: Human Revolution taking up my attention, along with LA Noire on the side. But I'm kinda craving a new experience, and I'd like to get back into playing my Wii, but there's only so much enjoyment that can be squeezed out of Super Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword. Plus The Last Story doesn't release in the US until July, so I have to wait at least for that.

So throw suggestions at my face!

Monster Hunter Tri.

If you can get into it, I promise it'll be one of the best games you've ever played :D

So addicting.

Going by your avatar I would have thought you'd recommend a certain something else :p

Since I've donated my wii to my family's living room I haven't played/bought any wii games for years, I'd say... Super Paper Mario maybe? It's not as good as the others because there's no addicting turn based combat. You could just get a Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door gamecube copy and play that on the wii.

Also if you are interested in any gamecube recommendations I have shit tonnes of those.

I actually have already played Okami, so there ya go! Other than that (and SMG and LOZ:TP), there's really nothing else that I've done on the Wii.

I'll second that. Great game. Takes more than a few hours to get into though.

You fight big monsters, and use their body parts to make better gear, and then go fight tougher monsters. It's quite fun, but I know the time investment tends to scare a lot of people off.

Xenoblade: I haven't played it, but people praise it as an excellent JRPG, if you're into that sort of thing.

No More Heroes: This one is fun. Very.... unique, exciting. You have a lightsaber, and you hack your way through hordes of enemies to fight dramatic, over-the-top bad guys.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl: More of a party game than anything else. But its still a ton of fun on single player.

Also, if you can find it, I think Pikmen 2 was rereleased for the Wii... that'd be worth it.

Depends how much you value your time, and whether you want a good or unique experience. Under different circumstances I can recommend most of my collection :p

I second trying to find a copy of New Play Control Pikmin 2 if you haven't played it, or failing that Little King's Story.

Do you want exercise?

Do you not want to buy Wii Fit?

I recommend WarioWare: Smooth Moves, in that case.

No More Heroes 1+2, great fun game! Game-play and humor are excellent (No More Heroes 1 has one of the best endings ever) Kirby's Epic Yarn is wonderfully creative, so is Return to Dreamland! Mario Galaxy 1+2 goes without saying!

Thanks guys keep 'em coming! I've been looking at Red Steel 2 as well, plus Goldeneye 007. Does anyone have any opinions on those?

Yes. Red Steel 2 is a bland, uninspired, mediocre Ubisoft game, and Goldeneye is an average, lackluster game lacking in content. I recommend Call of Duty: Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 over either of them any day.
Actually, to me, any Call of Duty game just makes me feel like I need to take a nap afterwards. It's all so fast paced, explosions happen so friggin' often, and you just shoot wave, after wave, after wave, after wave, after wave, after wave of Russians. It just leaves me so drained and gasping for breath :p

Red Steel 2 is one of the few examples of using motion controls effectively in action games. It's worth playing for that alone. It has its flaws, obviously. Then again, it's not really that expensive anymore.

Both of the No More Heroes games are fucking awesome. Red Steel sucked, but RS 2 just blew my expectations for the franchise(I liked it). I liked Metroid Other M despite the reviews. Super Smash Bros is the must have. I was disappointed with Paper Mario, though. Tommy Talarico calls it "Toilet Paper Mario" and he liked the last one, but I think my favorite Gamecube game was Thousand Year Door. If you liked the Zelda N64 games, you'll like the Wii games. I did. Also I liked the Just Dance games because they're really fun with friends. If you haven't played Resident Evil 4 yet, play the Wii version. It's equally great.

Wii had fantastic games, you just had to search a little. First-party Nintendo games, of course and re-releases were must-have's, but let's not talk about those, okay? Because I like a challenge and saying "Metroid Prime, Skyward Sword, Sin and Punishment 2, and Xenoblade" is just too easy. Try NiGHTS (the cutscenes are laughably bad, but some of the boss battles are INCREDIBLE), Red Steel 2 (eat your heart out Borderlands), Mad World, No More Heroes, The Conduit (so much better than Halo as far as single-player goes, and I love Halo), A Boy and His Blob is fantastic and very classy, Fragile Dreams (you want a horror RPG with characters you'll get attached too in a game that will make you cry? Thought so), Muramasa: The Demon Blade (SO AWESOME), and to end on a high note:

AKA WHAT FFXIII SHOULD'VE PLAYED LIKE
I rec Pikmin, Metroid Prime 3 or Trilogy, Xenoblade, and MadWorld, personally. But if you want more recs, I'll happily give them along with anecdotal reviews. I love my Wii. It's my favorite system as far as games go.
