Monster Hunter Tri.

If you can get into it, I promise it'll be one of the best games you've ever played :D

So addicting.
I know I'm late here, but I was shocked when I saw you didn't jump straight to Okami.

Also I second Monster Hunter Tri. Also Xenoblade Chronicles. It's almost as good as The Last Story.

New Super Mario Bros, Kirby's Adventure and Donkey Kong Country Returns are all worth it.

Really though, almost all of the games in this thread are games I would recommend myself and most of these games are great. The problem with the Wii isn't the lack of good games, it's the fact that I drown in the massive pile of crap.

Almost? You're saying Last Story is better? Is that even possible? It'd have to be Viewtiful Joe or something!
Yeah, I think The Last Story is better by a hair. I like the combat and how it lets you adapt strategies by giving you a quick look at the battlefield in order to search out spots where you can sneak out and get headshots (sometimes for one hit kills) or to lure enemies away from their group and take them down silently. I can't say if it's objectively better, but when it comes out in July I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.

If you can find a copy, pick up cursed mountain. It's a lot like the penumbra games but with a heavy focus on ghosts and Tibetan mythology.
Isn't that from the guys who made Two Worlds? I heard that one was abysmal.
no, it was published by deep silver who also published Risen. As for cursed mountain, it had some pacing issues but was otherwise a perfectly enjoyable game. It got pretty decent reviews too, it just ended up being an obscure title

And how many of the games you listed are on the Wii. Let me see... The Driver series got a Wii game, which was half-assed and critically slammed. Rayman got a Wii game, which was critically favored, but not especially to me. Prince of Persia got a half-assed PS2 game they tried to pass off as a Wii title, Far Cry got a HORRENDOUS and ugly Wii port so bad you'd swear Ubisoft made it (oh wait), and never once have I heard of 13.
To be frank, I don't really like your suggestions, considering that they've really only been COD games, plus you seem like kind of an ass. I really don't appreciate how you're just trolling other people's suggestions.

I will second the suggestion of Rayman Origins, the game is just really beautiful platforming fun. It's also got up to four-player co-op so you can play with friends if you want. =) It's also pretty long if you go for all the collectibles. There are lots of levels to start with so the collectibles along with the difficulty means it has a pretty long play time from start to 100%.

I will be honest though... Go into that game with plenty of patience. Cause you will die. A lot. It has a pretty high difficulty curve, sometimes feeling unfair. But it makes when you finally get through it all the more satisfying in my opinion.

Also... I haven't played it myself but there is a horror game called 'The Calling', if you're interested in horror it's worth a shot I suppose. Look it up and see if it interests you.

Also will accept recommendations of Wii-ware? Cause there are a couple good ones in there if you can get ahold of Wii-points. NyxQuest is one. A greek-myth inspired side scrolling platformer, a very well done (though short) game.

Oh and try checking out any Lego adaptation of a movie series(Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Indiana Jones). They aren't as amazing as some others... But they are actually pretty good. =D

That's Karutomaru for you.He lives in a little fantasy world where he's the ultimate authority on anything to do with the Wii and everyone else's opinion is wrong. You're better off ignoring him tbh cos he just won't accept that there are other opinions than his.Believe me I know from experience

Back on topic you really can't go wrong with most of the games mentioned so far(except maybe the ones you know who recommends).I'll just throw in a few more I don't think have been mentioned yet

House of the Dead:Overkill
Little King's Story
Sin & Punishment:Successor of the Skies(also known as Star Successor depending on where you are)
Muramasa:The Demon Blade
Bit.Trip Complete

Best thing is that most of the good 3rd party games should be dirt cheap now

Currently, I've been gaming on my 360 for the most part, with the glorious Deus Ex: Human Revolution taking up my attention, along with LA Noire on the side. But I'm kinda craving a new experience, and I'd like to get back into playing my Wii, but there's only so much enjoyment that can be squeezed out of Super Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword. Plus The Last Story doesn't release in the US until July, so I have to wait at least for that.

So throw suggestions at my face!

I just bought that, now waiting for it coem shipping to meeee!!
I did some research a week ago because I want to stash up a little for winter so...
The ones I've played and can reccommend:
DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Okami
Xenoblade Chronicels
Harvest Moon
Prince of Persia: Rival Swords / Forgotten Sands
Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
Rayman Origins
Blazing Angels
Red Steel 2

Then the games I found that seem interesting and will get at least a few of myself:

Pandoras Tower
The Last Story
Monster Hunter Tri
Arc Rise Fantasia
A few Kirby games
Lost in Shadow
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Deadly Creatures
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Hope some of this interests you, but you should do some research on the games before you buy them because, you know, taste can be different for different people ;)

My top 3 recommendations:
1: Madworld
2: Rayman Origins
3: Super Paper Mario

2nd recommendations: get online, go on the shop channel, check out the virtual console and go on a retro binge.

others games include:
No More Heroes 1 and 2
Red Steel 2 (skip the first one)
de Blob (criminally underrated, in my opinion...)
A Boy and his Blob (any game that features a hug button gets bonus point in my book)
the Pikmin 1 and 2 remakes with Wiimote controls
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Metroid Prime Trilogy (of failing that, just get all 3 games separately)
Xenoblade Chronicles
The Last Story
Rhythm Heaven Fever

and of course, you can never go wrong with the essentials (Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Smash Bros., ect.)
