I know I was the second person to post in this thread, but I just thought of another good one.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

Do you like Marvel vs Capcom, but feel like it just doesn't have enough obscure anime characters for your taste? Then Tatsunoko vs Capcom is for YOU! In all seriousness, TvC is a dead solid tag-team fighting game. If you can get past the language thing (as it only has japanese audio), and the fact that you probably won't know a fair bit of the Tatsunoko side, then I'd highly recommend it. And hey, you might just learn something about anime in the process. Plus, you can play as this guy:

Also, I'm glad to see that pretty much every other post in this topic has mentioned No More Heroes. Did you get it yet? You really should. I know I already mentioned it... but it bears repeating.

The one that I own that best uses the motion controls is Okami, as if anything needs to be said about that amazing game, others have explained why it is great with far more convincing arguments than I could write up, Daystar Clarion could probably explain it.

Other than that, I am now playing Xenoblade Chronicles which has absolutely no motion controls at all, which can be a blessing. The game is very, very good so far, I haven't beaten yet though. The story is very refreshing in my opinion, its main focus is the subject of revenge, and I have yet to hear a single person say something along the lines of "noooo revenge isn't the answer!" The game was localized to Britain and only gamestop sells it in the US (I think) so the voice actors are all British, which is fucking hilarious at times, but was annoying at first (It isn't bad, I enjoy it, it just throws me for a loop at times). The combat took a little bit to get used to but after a while I was loving it. The setting is easily the most interesting one I have ever seen, the game world is on the backs (and other limbs) of 2 gargantuan titans that fought in ancient times, and when the both died in place, life grew from their corpses. Finally, graphics are... not great, but that does not matter in the slightest to me. All in all, it is a really great game, if you like JRPGs that is

You can always switch to the Japanese track. And since you don't know about the Gamestop exclusitivity, I assume you're British yourself... So then how are the accents weird to you?
And the story is partly about revenge on the Mechon, but also about stopping them from senselessly killing people.
No I'm from the US, I remember reading somewhere that only gamestop sold it here but I wasn't sure, since I go there anyways. And I didn't mean to make it sound like I disliked the voice acting, I enjoy it, but Rayne sounds like an American stereotype of a British person, which I find funny

Yes. Red Steel 2 is a bland, uninspired, mediocre Ubisoft game, and Goldeneye is an average, lackluster game lacking in content. I recommend Call of Duty: Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 over either of them any day.

No, you generalize far too much, don't explain yourself and you make wild accusations.

I'm playing Xenoblade Chronicles and I'm honestly having a hard time urging myself to continue. I'm near the top of the first gargantuan, doing endless pointless and interchangeable missions for people. The story is alright, the combat is decent (though repetitive when questing), but the questing itself is the worst kind of search and grind.

I enjoy the open areas, but there seems relatively few reasons to actually explore it other than to see the sights. I was thinking I'd just skip the extra quests and rush the main questline, but falling behind in levels makes bosses difficult and the game seems to assume you're going to do most of the sidequests.

Is this worth it? Shall I press on to the end?

Deu... don't comment on it don't comment on it move on...

Bleh.

Anyway, I personally recommend grabbing LostWinds, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and Little King's Story.

Oh my God, the irony of this post. Not even as a sleight against you, just damn.

uh..no. you cannot bash certain games when they have almost the exact same features of the games you like, if you were to do that, that would mean you'd have to bash those games as well

I've explained myself to him in the past, there's been so many posts of him that are ridiculous generalisations that more often than not you can assume that it is, and this isn't a wild accusation, it's exactly what he does.
Hope that cleared it up.

Madworld
House of the Dead: Overkill

These games are worth a playthrough if you can pick them up used for cheap. Meaning, they aren't "the greatest game evar", but if you pick them up for the price of a movie ticket, they're great.

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is a great game, but copies are pretty hard to find. You can settle with BT2 as well. It has almost all the characters from DBZ, including almost all the movies. Tenkaichi 3 only added a few.
I'm regret getting rid of BT3, as it's hard to find a copy. It was an amazing game that refined 2's gameplay. I just miss the story cutscenes from 2 in it. Seriously, it's the best DBZ game I've ever played. I sunk at least 100 hours into it, solo.

OT MY recommendations:

-Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3
-Arc Rise Fantasia (Horrible voice acting, but a quality jRPG)
-Dragonball: Revenge of King Piccolo (great beat em up)
-Madworld (bloody, violent, hilarious, black and white hack n slash)
-No More Heroes and No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle (It's a Suda51 hack n slash, nuff said)
-Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers (The 360 Onechanbara game has a bad rep, but this is a great hack n slash, VERY underrated)
-Red Steel 2 (1 was a boring fps, 2 is a wonderful fps/hack n slash, with a cel-shaded cowboy samurai theme)
-Sin & Punishment: Star Successor ( the original was a JPN only N64 rail shooter, and the Wii version is all that and more. Bonus: the original S&P is available for download on the Virtual Console)
-Tale of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (sequel to the Gamecube Tales of Symphonia, this is a great, underrated RPG, with characters I could really relate to)
-Tatsunoko vs Capcom (A great fighting game that was on the tournament scene for a while. If you liked Marvel vs Capcom, you'll love this. MvC3's combat was a result of this game)
-Xenoblade Chronicles (It's being called the greatest jRPG of this generation, beating out multiple Final Fantasies, and many other big series, and almost didn't come to USA. Also really rare, it was only one one printing, as far as I know, and GameStop is the only distributor)
-Metroid Prime Trilogy (Metroid Prime 1, 2 and 3, all with Wii controls. Pretty rare, with used copies selling for $65 at GameStop, but worth it)
-Prince of Persia: Rival Swords ( It's PoP: The Two Thrones, with Wii controls. Pretty darn fun, too. )

I'm jumping in!

If you don't have Resident Evil 4 for the wii, you are wrong. So wrong. Go get RE4. Even if it's been played on other systems, it is by far the funnest to play with Nintendo on your side.

I skimped out on pages 2 and 3, but I saw some pretty good suggestions. I love Xenoblade, the Metroid series (excluding OtherM), Rayman Origins, the OnePiece games (Unlimited series) if you can find them, No More Heroes 1 and 2, Monster Hunter Tri was fantastic, and a few others I'm too lazy to type out... Time is short, you see. Making this post on the fly.

If more are thought up, I'll simply make a new post.
