I watched the movie Kill List earlier today and thought it was pretty amazing. The tone of the movie was just so creepy and it was in general a great psychological horror movie.

This is a genre of film that I really enjoy but I Kill List is the first one in a while that I've really thoroughly enjoyed. Some of the best one's I've watched are: The Silence of the Lambs, Identity, Psycho, Jacob's Ladder, and Session 9.

Anyway, what are your favourite movies in this genre and recommend me some more!

Shutter Island was a pretty good film in regards to it's tone and atmosphere even if I did consider it a tad predictable it was still highly unsettling none the less, have you seen it?

Suppose it depends on what you call "psychological horror".

But just looking at the films you listed, I'd have to recommend Misery. Also consider Rosemary's Baby, Cube, and some of David Cronenberg's films, especially Spider and Crash (the 1996 one, not the Oscar winner from Paul Haggis).

Then you have more "conventional" horror films that nonetheless rely heavily on paranoia and insanity, like Invasion of the Body Snatchers (either version is fantastic, though I personally prefer the Donald Sutherland remake), In the Mouth of Madness, and Pandorum.

I'd recommend the Usual Suspects. It's a bit more action oriented, but it's got a great twist at the end.

The Final Cut is about a future where many people cave cameras in their heads that record their lives, and the resulting videos are abridged for funerals. The concept is explored well and there are logical protests against it in the film itself.

Source Code is about... Well, like a Legend of Zelda inventory, it just builds and builds 'till the end. So, there's not much I can say without spoiling it.
