I've played Warcraft 3, Starcrafts 1 and 2, Pretty much all the Final Fantasy Games, and the Golden Sun games, but I kind of want more. Suggestions?

By RPGs, I mean jRPGs, so basically turn-based kind of games.

HOMEWORLD. That (RTS) game uses Adiago for Strings and it comes off as 100% appropriate and 0% pretentious. I'm having a hard time thinking of another game that could get away with that.

Also, since it sounds like you have some kind of handheld, try Devil Survivor. It's basically a Shin Megami Tensei take on Final Fantasy Tactics. And, although it's neither a JRPG nor turn-based, try Spirit Engine 2 [http://www.thespiritengine.com/tse2-download.php]. It's a sidescrolling party-based RPG with awesome combat and music as well as above-average writing. It's also free.

Persona 3 FES. Persona may not be a household name, but its the cream of the crop of JRPGS nowadays. The combat is a fun and deep turn-based system, while the story is extremely enjoyable (as well as very original compared to most JRPGs).

Company of Heroes! It's my favorite RTS game and I always recommended it in these threads.

Company of Heroes and Dawn of War spring to mind. Relic has a thing for making incredibly fun RTS games with insanely imbalanced multiplayer that still manages to be fair.

If you can find it, the BFME Anthology. Good games, though to play mutliplayer you'll have to use Gameranger.

Red alert 3 is a great RTS, kinda like stracraft (but better in my opinion)
Also there is the Advance Wars series, its turn-based strategy.
And last but not least, Super robot taisen Original Generation. This is a must play if you like japanese mecha.

Do you have a PC that meets these requirements?

Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7
1.8 GHz Processor
512MB RAM (1 GB recommended)
3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 7 integrated graphics are fine
2GB space on the HDD

If you do head on over to GOG and play the greatest JRPG of all time...Anachronox.

Oh and Company of Heroes.

I recommend Age Of Mythology. It's pretty old, but has good graphics for its time and it's still the best RTS that I've ever played.

It depends on how far you want to go back in time. the only semi-recent RTS that I really like is Dawn of war 2 but then I cant think of any others besides starcraft 2.

As for JRPGs, Im not much of a connessier of many JRPGs anymore but if you want to go back in time I can recommend several I enjoyed including Final fantasy 4 and 6, Secret of Mana, Lufia: rise of the sinsitrals (one of my favorite of all time), Lufia & the fortress of doom, Final fantasy tactics, Star Ocean: The second story, Star ocean: Till the end of time, Dragon Quest 8, and Final fantasy X

With the era of the xbox 360 and PS3 I stopped looking into JRPGs as much (that and the few I recall in the early days of those consoldes werent very good). You might also check out Dark souls if you like very unforgiving games. It doesnt have the JRPG feel but its still from Japan so it sort of fits the definition

I guess you don't know that JRPGs can be real time. Like Kingdom Hearts, it has Final Fantasy characters in it as well as Disney characters but is incredibly fun and has an enjoyable storyline (but is also confusing somewhat) and enjoyable combat system.

Anyway, for RTS games, you should try Dawn of War and Age of Empires 2.

Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. A very in-depth, rich RTS. It is a bit graphics-heavy, however, so do be aware it will stretch even the gruntiest of computers. Lots of fun, especially with friends :)

for rts I always liked rise of legends, just to say something different from the usual dawn of war and age of empires. Can't help so much with JRPGs, soz

I wouldn't call necrons in DoW:DC balanced or fair :p
But I still recommend dawn of war and its expansions, the single player is a ton of fun.

Age of empires series. While from a nostalgia standpoint people prefer 2, I'm gonna go ahead and say mythology is better. Cooler factions, a good expansion (Atlanteans are a bit op, not too bad) and more badass units. AoE 3 is good, just not my thing. Unlike all the others, it's set during colonial times, so a big departure from the series. Having played all the others for as long as I can remember, it threw me off a bit. Someone new might find it awesome though.

EDIT: Oh, for turnbased strategies, the fire emblem series kick ass. I'd say my favourite is path of radiance for gamecube. If you've got a Wii or a gamecube, try and get that. Then there's a bunch of older ones, the two easiest ones to get now are probably shadow dragon for the DS (Pretty good, but there are better ones) and Radiant dawn for the Wii, which I'm not a fan of, I played a bit, never got interested.

I picked that game up from the dust bin because I remembered having a blast with it. Couldn't play it anymore... It sucked too much. It was a good game but imho it hasn't aged all that well.

Right, OT: I'm throwing my vote in with RA3. Especially if you can play it with a mate. Loads of fun.

Company of Heroes is the best realistic WWII RTS out there today. Infantry have its own cover system, the maps are fully destructible, the campaign's awesome, and there's no resource farming involved. It's addicting.
And it has some great mods, like this one. [http://www.moddb.com/mods/company-of-heroes-modern-combat]

You think so? What's wrong with it?

People still play the original starcraft, and it has a lot of problems like not being able to select mutliple buildings, only having 12 units... I was playing a ton of AoM about a month ago, it doesn't feel very out of date.

Supreme commander 1

Epicly large battles that truly allow you to wary your tactics and making your opponent to adapt to you.
