Recommend some PC games.

right now the list im looking at is:

thief
Serious Sam
deus ex
rogue
ghost master
system shock 2.
Also if its not to much to ask feed back on this list would be nice. like if i can get one but there are 2 which to get. bah screw the round about way of asking. could I get my list ranked.

My system specs are:
AMD Turion(tm) II Ultra Dual-Core Mobile m600 2.40 GHz with 4 gb RAM and Windows 7 64bit. (this is a laptop.)
I have Morrowind Orange Box WoW and some others i dont remember.
Getting ready for a long anti social month so help me out. thanks

The PS2 version of BG2 is not the same, its a action rpg in the same universe really.

Anyway try Company of Heroes or Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War.

A decent puzzle game is Braid,never made it past world 2 though.

all of the games on my list i collected either watching Zero Punctuation or from another tread similar to my own. I would of posted there but it seemed to come down to the same 4-6 games reposted over and over.

Anyways, FPS games I play on my PC include Team Fortress 2 (if you like online play), Portal, Half-Life 2 and episodes (might as well get the Orange Box deal for all of the above).

If you want to play some RTS games, I suggest some Command and Conquer games such as Tiberiun Sun, Red Alert 2, Commadn and Conquer 3, or Generals Zero Hour (ESPECIALLY with the "Shockwave" mod). You could also try Warcraft 3 or Cossacks.

EDIT: Whoops, never mind about the RTS games.

Thanks. Yeah, I own the orange box. It's an incredibly nice collection of games. I played through WC3 because im a blizzard fan boy but i used fast build and god mode because I just wanted the story. which turns out I could of received from wowwiki.

I know it has been said before but Kotor, seriously it's one of the best RPGs to have been released. I personally recommend Diabolo I & II it's addictive and a grea way to waste time. If you enjoy character creation then pick up Neverwinter Nights as well.
Counter strike and the like are good online FPS though I don't know what the current game like that would be.

STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl/Call of Pripyat, Metro 2033, World in Conflict,Arcanum, Fallout series, FEAR,etc.

Games such as Oblivion/Fallout 3 are good choices considering the others on your list, really they're just larger and more intricate versions of thief or deus ex.

Oblivion and Morrowind are two games I sink hours into. Mass Effect games are great too (Anything from bioware is going to be fun on the pc if you like rpg's but mass effect is a bit more actiony)

If you're more into action games then Bioshock is a good pick too.

How I pick is I go onto steam, pick a genre, check the meta score, read the reviews. Anything above a 85 meta is going to be enjoyable if you like the genre from what I've found.

If you like shooters or actual "realestic" games (no COD and Battlefield are not realestic shooters) i would reccommend Operation Flashpoint Cold war Crisis.

Seriously this is a good game with decent difficulty... i really enjoyed it... ive been playing it for almost 8 years now... its briliant.
