It is Halloween, and there is nothing quite as fun as scaring yourself for no reason whatsoever. But even better of course is getting the chance to scare other people!
So, this is a place to share your favourite scary things. Songs, films, games, whatever you like. Cannot think of anything scary? That's okay, simply recommend something that fits in with Halloween.
I shall recommend a cool little game I discovered thanks to the Escapist news.
The Last Door is a browser based horror game set in 1891. It is a point and click adventure with simplistic graphics, but a very haunting artistic style. The main character receives a letter from a childhood friend and goes to visit his home. When he gets there he discovers that it is seemingly abandoned. The game doesn't rely on jump scares or loud sounds, instead it focuses on a creepy atmosphere and disturbing encounters.
The great thing about this game is that the first two chapters are entirely free to play. The third chapter is released but only available to those who have donated, but once the fourth chapter has been funded that too will become free.
So even if you are wary, you can still get into it without any cost, so I definitely recommend giving it a try. The chapters are a reasonable length and definitely fitting for Halloween evening.
So what about you guys and girls?
