It is Halloween, and there is nothing quite as fun as scaring yourself for no reason whatsoever. But even better of course is getting the chance to scare other people!

So, this is a place to share your favourite scary things. Songs, films, games, whatever you like. Cannot think of anything scary? That's okay, simply recommend something that fits in with Halloween.

I shall recommend a cool little game I discovered thanks to the Escapist news.

The Last Door is a browser based horror game set in 1891. It is a point and click adventure with simplistic graphics, but a very haunting artistic style. The main character receives a letter from a childhood friend and goes to visit his home. When he gets there he discovers that it is seemingly abandoned. The game doesn't rely on jump scares or loud sounds, instead it focuses on a creepy atmosphere and disturbing encounters.

The great thing about this game is that the first two chapters are entirely free to play. The third chapter is released but only available to those who have donated, but once the fourth chapter has been funded that too will become free.

So even if you are wary, you can still get into it without any cost, so I definitely recommend giving it a try. The chapters are a reasonable length and definitely fitting for Halloween evening.

So what about you guys and girls?

I could highly recommend Deep Sleep and it's sequel Deeper Sleep (Play the first one first)
They are creepy ass point and clicks about Lucid Dreaming and the implications it has.
While like most point and clicks it's cryptic as fuck, the atmosphere is amazing!

Costume Quest!
It's a great little game by Double Fine that's on sale over at Steam until tomorrow. It's charming and fun and creative! The turn based combat is a little simple of course but all the different costumes look cool and function different.
Probably the best way I could describe this is if you wanted another Paper Mario style RPG and you (along with everyone else) thought the third one was shit, this is where you should go!

I recommend reading up on Tony Abbott, then realise he is the Prime Minister of Australia. That man, and what he represents, scare the shit out of me. #****

Bioshock can also keep you on the edge of your seat.

SCP-087 [http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-087]. There's a lot of creepy stuff on that site, but that's the one that I find the most unnerving.

The Blood series fits the bill quite nicely... There's about three movies (two animated, one live-action) and two animated series (Blood + and Blood-C) of it... I'm currently watching Blood-C right now, which is right now pretty good... Either way, I'm planning to own it on DVD soon alongside the first animated movie and the live action movie, which are both called Blood: The Last Vampire...

Also, the Dead Space movies, both Downfall and Aftermath... If you care about the first two game's plot and lore, then these are pretty great at showcasing more of the side-stories before the first game and between the first two games... (I really need to play the first two Dead Space games, though...)

This was something I had on VHS as a child. Its a little corny now, but its not the worst thing ever made.

Also, on Halloween, I always watch the Unforgotten Realms Halloween Special [http://www.urealms.com/content.php?346-Unforgotten-Realms-Special]. It's tradition for me.

How about some nice zombie themed games like [a href="http://www.funny-games.biz/online-game-rebuild-2.html"]Rebuild 2[/a] and [a href="http://www.kongregate.com/games/ArmorGames/sonny?gclid=COv08Na6hqwCFeURNAodexAa9Q"]Sonny[/a]. I can't say too much about Rebuild 2, but I highly endorse Sonny. It and its sequel are really awesome games and it makes me very sad that we'll probably never see the third game.

Genuinely pants-shitting scary? Not movies but TV series......

Well, we have H.R. Pufnstuf.

& Noseybonk.

& lastly, the Wiggles.
& if you find that last one more funny than scary, try this one.
