My girlfriend is considering getting an Xbox 360. (Cursed Amazon sales.) As a 360 owner myself, I assured her that there's a lot of fun to be had with it, especially with a sale like that. However, she isn't really too interested in the likes of Halo, much less as the sole reason to buy the system -- and since I do most of my actual gaming on my PC, I don't know what's on the 360 other than the exclusives I bought and played to death, Halo inclusive.

She's been a Nintendo gamer almost exclusively until now, DS/3DS/Wii/etc. So she's probably more into the lighter games with less ANGST and gore. Of course, anything that's ridiculously fun would be helpful, too, even if it is gorey. I know the 360 has some great games for everyone, but I just don't play that many of them.

I don't actually own a Xbox 360, but I know that Beyond Good & Evil and the first two Banjo Kazooie games are downloadable, so that's as good a place to start as any. I've also heard good things about Viva Pinata, but haven't actually played it myself.

Good news man, I myself am a primary fan of nintendo and happen to own a xbox and know some games right up her alley. Bad news, your gf is still going to get more use out of her wii than her xbox based on your description (i still use my wii more than i use my xbox).

List of games

pychonauts (fully backwards compatible)

super street fighter 4

banjo kazooie nuts and bolts with the viva pinata

Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie (already mentioned)

prince of persia reboot (already mentioned)

jet set radio future (fully backwards compatible, tho she will need to connect to the internet to download the files to make it backwards compatible. Its free tho. Highly recommend)

bayonetta (maybe)

Super Meat Boy (DEFINITELY)

Beyond Good and Evil (A MUST and already mentioned, think legend of zelda mixed with metal gear)

Dreamcast collection

Marvel vs Capcom 3 (if she enjoyed super street fighter 4)

Castle Crashers (already mentioned)

and try some jrpgs (not my expertise)

EVERY lego game (love those games!)

Sonic the Hedgehog Episode 4 (yes yes yes!!!!)

Braid (maybe)

Also Prince of Persia: Sands of time is backwards compatible

There you go straight from Nintendo gamer himself :D

p.s. If you respect your girlfriend avoid any games from the wii knockoff, Kinect

You make me being a Nintendo player sound like I have the plague :p It's just that I've stuck with the company since my SNES and Game Boy Pocket. No judging. I just find killing games repetitive and boring.

Quick, someone name a launch title that still retails for it's original price! It'd be perfect for the Nintendo gamer.

Tales of Vesperia, and ABSOLUTELY Beautiful Katamari, which used to be Playstation exclusive and the gameplay is fan-dabby-babulous! And Viva Pinata is a great one!

viva pinata, is honestly a great game. Also Banjo is good fun as well(all of them in fact). Fable should be good since there easy and co-op. Also Crackdown, those are on the exclusive side.

Wow, not even a full page and someone makes a remark making fun of Nintendo fans. Nice job.

OT: Well, everything I was going to mention was mentioned, emphasize Katamari, Super Meat Boy, and Viva Pinata, Castle Crashers and MvC3.
