Broken Sword DS is quite good, especially seeing that they've added a load of extra areas so it's something new even if you've played it before.

I wouldn't advise FFIII/FFIV if you've played the originals already. Actually scrap that, just get the originals don't bother with the DS remakes.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, The World Ends With You, Pokemon, the new DS games coming out in few weeks, Ragnarok DS is also okay for a DS hack and slash, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (better than Portrait of Ruin and hundreds of times better than Ecclesia), Megaman Battle Network 5: Double Team, Ace Attorney games.
New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS, Chrono Trigger, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure
If you can wait a couple of weeks I know that
Sonic Classic collection comes out 3/2 is $30 and if you can get another $10 that new Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver comes out 3/14 which looks really good

The World Ends With You was a fantastic game.
The Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice series is still one of my favorite series of all time.
If you like music/rhythm games, I highly recommend the Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! (if you have the means to import) and Elite Beat Agents games.
Those being said, there were a lot of recommendations on this page; though either I didn't read everything, or maybe people hate it, but The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is good once you can get used to the controls.

I can't even be bothered to play Zelda, I'm like 2% in, and I just don't wanna play it. I've never been a Zelda fan.

best nintendo ds game I ever bought was either sonic rush or retro atari games, the latter was amazing had about 10 different games on it, I still play it xD
it doesnt have a pause button during operations and you cant fastforward dialouge (even if you already read it) and to use tools you need to press the L button (wich is pretty much impossible for me since I am left handed) its just plain badFlying-Emu said:
