I wasnt impressed with MAG, it was one game that got me hyped on the PS3 and when I finally go into the beta.. MAG was meh. Battlefield Bad Company 2 is better IMO

Get GoW collection seeing as how you haven't played 1 or 2. rachet and Clank games, MGS4 was my first MGS game, don't worry the cutscenes are there to explain almost everything to new players.

You could get Demons Soul I think I will too seeing as how many people are recommending the game. People way its hard, but I enjoy a challenging game.

* On a side note did you play GoW 3 on titan mode? If so did you manage to beat Zeus? That shit is fucking impossible

So last December i had the cash to drop into getting a new ps3 slim but i was confused as to what games to get for it and ended up getting most multi platforms for my 360 knowing the live community but the psn one and just grabbing a mish mash of exclusives for my ps3.

now i feel like i should be getting more ps3 games so i can enjoy my ps3 more and give my 360 a rest and i thought what better place would there be to get recommendations for games than the escapist.

not yet i'm about halfway through it on titan mode.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone i think i will pick up ancharted 1 and mgs4.

i might take a look into demons souls maybe import a US version as for some unknown reason its cheaper than buying it in a game shop here.

I'd get Uncharted 1.

Add Modnation Racers and Metal Gear Solid 4 and you basically have my PS3 library.

I'm not sure about that, I'd say hire Uncharted 1, since if you've gotten through Uncharted 2 you'll breeze through the first one and if you bought it you'd feel like you'd wasted your money since it has less features than Uncharted 2. But yeh, definitely hire for the story, it's awesome.

Modnation Racers is epic and definitely get MGS4, plus if you haven't got it on 360, get Fallout 3 GOTY coz it's cheap and Red Dead Redemption. I just can't recommend Red Dead enough. It's got an amazing story and great gameplay, plus, cowboys are cool. XD

Other than that, just wait for games like Dead Rising 2 on PS3 out in a months time and you're golden, because, hey, who like paying for internet that they've already paid for?

I heard fat princess on the psn store is good but i havnt played it. You should also check out the ps1 classics their are some pretty good games on the store.

Fat Princess (for me) is addictingly fun! If you like a good arcade hack and slash then definitely check it out. I think there is a demo for it as well.

Assuming you're in the PAL area it's cheaper there because it's been out for about a year there and about a month here, if you buy the black phantom edition you get a strategy guide which will help out a lot though.

Anyway I'd suggest Valkyria Chronicles (I'm determined to recommend that game to everyone ), get the first two Monkey Island games off psn if you haven't got them on live/steam already and the GoW 1/2 remakes.

I'm loving Valkyria Chronicles right now, never played games like it before, Jann alone made the game for me, the rest is just icing on the cake.

You basically have the meat of the PS3 software line-up, so the only games I can recommend are MGS4, the original Uncharted, and The Ratchet and Clank series. Oh and Demon's Souls is good too

Truth is there aren't many good exclusives for either console. You're looking at half a dozen worthwhile games max, either way, and you've pretty much nailed all the decent ones on PS3.

I will echo the Demon's Souls recommendations. It's probably the best action rpg I've ever played, though it's far from perfect. Make sure you read up on a good starter build and some early equipment, though. I found the game far more enjoyable/tolerable with a little bit of apparently crucial foreknowledge, as most of the game's difficulty stems from player ignorance brought about by the excessively bare-bones approach.

Otherwise? Sit back and wait for InFamous 2 and The Last Guardian. Those are about the only PS3 exclusives I'm anticipating.

Super Street Fighter 4 - Really good beat 'em up, really gets good when you start playing online
Flower - Beautiful and relaxed game
Fat Princess - Fantastic online battles
Yakuza 3 - Seriously addictive! Hours and hours of gameplay there

I would also say Heavy Rain and Little Big Planet but you have those already...
