Hey everyone, I was wondering what the best way would be to record video on my computer and on my TV, reminiscent of ways PewDiePie does it on Youtube. I have fraps, but I don't know where to really start. I want to buy a headset for the computer and I assume I'd have to use it for the TV recording as well if I want to get my voice in the video as well.

Basically, how does one do it like Pewdiepie on youtube does it? Thanks for any and all help!

I don't know much about screen grabbing video, but as far as producing good quality engaging videos is concerned, you should record you voice separately. Play your game or do your demo first and record the video (and in-game audio if necessary) and then after the fact narrate it with a decent quality mike as you watch your handiwork (not one of those cheap webchat stick mikes. Search for podcasting mikes for good but relatively inexpensive options), and finally re-composite them in your video editing suite of choice. You will only have to concentrate on one thing at a time so you won't muddle your message with "ums" and awkward pauses. You can tell you viewers to look for particular things before they happen, and with separate audio, you can slow down or speed up the video separately to skip boring bits or draw attention to small details. Overall it will give you more control over the editing process and a more polished product.
