Red Dead Redemption multiplayer issues

Late to the party, but still..

I just tried to get online in Free Roam mode for the first time today and loading times takes forever (getting into the outfitter doesn't seem to work), hideouts doesn't seem to start properly, my mount doesnt show up, etc.

Is this a common issue or did I just get off to an unlucky start?

I tried a few weeks ago and it had the same issues. Not really sure why.

Well, I've found a workaround for getting into the outfitter. You have to enter singleplayer mode first, then switch to a private multiplayer mode from there, and then you should be able to enter the outfitter. Worked for me.

As for the other problems, I've made some research and it seems the game has for the last year or so had some substantial problems with people glitching the servers by way of somehow installing mods onto them. One of the culprits appears to be an individual with the gamertag of GLITCHED MATRIX, who reportedly even admit to messing things up because he's sick of other glitchers.

Finally, I had the unpleasant experience of meeting this fellow with the gamertag of GLITCHED TESLA (Why these guys rely solely on uppercase letters I do not pretend to know) who zeroed in on my position on the map by flying towards me and then proceeded to freeze my console. Word of advice: If you see this player on the server you're currently playing on exit the session ASAP to avoid further problems.
