Is anyone still playing it?
What do you think?
How far into the game have you got to?

I have just started playing it again from the start, I didn't get very far in 1st time around, and I am loving it. I can't remember why I just stopped all that time ago.

Up until Skyrim came out, I praised it as the best game ever made. Now, I just feel it's the best story ever told in a game. It was never my favorite game, but I love it. I still play through it every now and then.

Personally. I hated it, the controls were wonky and the glitches made it unplayable. it would crash all the time and I'd fall through the ground constantly and get stuck.

I spent the first third of the game just doing sidequests, etc. and didn't move the story along.
Then when I realized it was extremely long, I decided that I would just slog through and complete it.

Not saying it wasn't great, but I played it rather short-sightedly and made it overstay its welcome.

I loved it. played through twice.

Found the gunplay could have been better and it was a little bit too grindy at times but overall a great game with a great story.

I loved the game, and it completely made me rethink my dislike of the cowboy genre.

It's actually one of the few games that I've ever bought DLC for, the Undead Nightmare DLC specifically.

It's a pretty well made game. Fun for dicking around when I've played too much Saints Row 2. It's actually fairly entertaining to run into the woods and hunt for bears with my pistol. But along came Skyrim, SR3 and Minecraft...afraid I haven't played it in a while.

I thought it was a pretty awesome game. Great horses, great story, fun gunplay.

Personally though I'm not really a big cowboy fan, so while I'll support it being awesome I haven't played it more then once. Which makes me a little sad, because it is just a really amazingly well done game, I just don't like cowboys.

I always thought the story alone would justify it being called the best game ever made. It was clear, concise, and focused and deeply impactful in a way most games are not. It frustrates me to no end when people hold up BioShock as a grand example of storytelling when it was atmosphere, a good twist and a lackluster ending. By comparison, RDR's ending haunted me for a long time after beating the game.

Sadly, my disc is broken and I need to go purchase a new game. I've got a few things I'm looking to try out in Undead Nightmare.
