Hey I bought this game on the day it came out and it is not like the others at all!
I want to know what everyone else thinks of it. I think that it's a lot like GTA in a way. The way that is because you have to free-roam around and go to a certain location to missions.... Don't like that.
The other Red factions were proper FPS games now its' just... its just strayed a hell of a lot!
Other than that bad point, the fact that you can just run around with a sledge hammer and smash down buildings is amazing =D.
Please discus this game, I want to know what you lot think of it.

I loved the old Red Factions but this is pure gold for me. A fantastic buy. My only problem is now I wont have money for Prototype

I have to agree with you about Prototype, I have really been looking forward to that game.
So you have played the other two?
On comparision don't you think that this game is nothing like the others. Don't get me wrong I think the game is brilliant, just not as good as the others.

Got this game through Gamefly. Pretty good so far, beat Parker district, into Dust. Really enjoying the destructibility, but not enjoying the atmosphere or "story" too much.

Yeah I am currently in Oasis now, just about to move in to the Free fire zone. I am loving the destruction, just miss the constant story line.

Just picked this up yesterday, enjoying the destruction - one particular highlight being ramming a stolen EDF vehicle into a building at full pelt in order to nab one of the walkers!

But yeh, I also now have the Prototype dilemma...or at least I will if Prototype turns out to be worth buying.

Yeah I am thinking about buying that game, but I will probably wait until I hear what other people think about it before buying it.

It's a big hard to decide because i'm comparing them to the other 2 before it.
However I would say it is worth the money. It's great fun, just running around blowing shit up, driving cars through entire buildings =).

The game is nothing like the others. But I actually think Red Faction Guerilla is better. Hell I loved the Old red factions but Ive hardly ever got off Red faction Guerilla (Apart from to play Medievil 2 Kingdoms with couple of mates.) But Yes Red Faction do have a lot of over Guerilla as to kill stuff in Guerilla you just run around with a sledgehammer. There wasnt many times when I needed a gun (Although Im only on Dust xD Been playing multiplayer)

Well I just completed the main story yesterday. Now all I can do on the game is finish all the other side missions =). Anyone else been collecting them like audio tapes?? They look like an orange nano ball (a bit) if you see them and they are little clips of a persons recording...

It's the best thing since LEGO.

I just started the same thread yesterday as I was thinking of buying the game and wanted to know what people thought.

I'm glad I did now because it is the most FUN i've had with a game in a very long time. It does everything I wish GTA4 did in that it gives you a huge open world to rampage through and create your own fun with the OTT weaponry in incredible physics engine.

I cannot emphasize how much fun it is to get in my giant Tonka digger and go smashing through buildings, with people flying all over the place, roofs collapsing, pipes and walls falling to pieces and explosions going off all over the place. It just doesn't get old...

Did you ever notice that the mid point check points either suck or are nonexistant?
Or how when sometime when you click restart on a mission it sometimes sends you to where you picked it up. Thus forcing you to sit through two load times to repeat a mission. I seriously could've written a bestseller with this time. Also is it just me or is it easy to flip vehicles? I feel like with a little more polish this game could've been a lot better.
