ok So I bourght RFG you know, it was cheap, installed registered all good right?

so then GFWL pops up....oh you want me to sign in? ok then,

oh whats that? I cant save if I'm not signed in..uhh ok

oh you have an update? I cant play unless I update? ok....your update isnt working

go to google, download patch manually (fuck around with .cab file) seems to be ok

ok Im signed in now!...WHAT? I still cant save? whats going on here? I thourght I signed in and updated?

so yeah all help is welcome, should I:

A. give up,

B. re-install?

seriously I never gave much thourght to GFWL untill now, what a load of rage inducing crap

Oh boy. I'm having flashbacks to the early 2000's, when I first tried to install Black & White. It was a fucking nightmare. I wish I could help, but I don't know shit, so . . . just know that I feel your pain and you shouldn't give up?

thanks, I mean its one thing that a game doesnt work because of technical reasons...but over stupid reasons like this that shouldn't exist in the first place? gaaahh Its infuriating!

I guess option C. is to finish the damn thing in one sitting....(the game more or less works I just cant save)

This is the reason why I rarely PC game anymore - that and my PC is crap - all this 'YOU MUST BE ONLINE TO PLAY THE SINGLE PLAYER SECTION OF OUR GAME'.

Also, 'Option C' is insane.
You can't finish the game - even if you skip all the side missions - in one setting.
It's like GTA, but with more boom-boom, red dirt, game play that doesn't suck.

If you just create an offline account (google it there are numerous how tos) it works fine. Devs that use GWFL do need putting in sacks and hitting with sticks though.
