I recently downloaded the demo for the upcoming red faction guerrilla game, and while I thought it was quite enjoyable, I couldn't help feeling like I was playing a saints row mod; seeing as it is made by the same people. I did enjoy the more destructible environments, but am apprehensive of buying this game...

What are your thoughts?

I tried the demo, and i will not buy this game..

Did not like it at all, though i loved both red faction 1 & 2, so i was really disappointed..

Lol I made a thread quite like this one. And if it's made by the same people then it is obviously going to be similar. And it's Saints Row 2 on Mars, not in space.

Comparing it to Saints Row 2 just because they made that game too is pretty sad.

Judge them for what they're doing now, not what they've done in the past. As similar as it may be.

I will most likely buy this game, looked great.
The point is, saints row 2 isn't an old game, and they copied over the engine completely, so it's more of a mod than an actual new game. For the record, I love Saints row 2, but I don't want to pay for a modded version of it.

It felt nothing like just a mod to me. It had actual destruction of buildings, it was hard not to get shot down, and looks like it could be fun even if you're alone.
Your call, but I'll shy away from it until the price drops

No...Max Payne and Bully were both made by Rockstar but they weren't even slightly similar. And don't be so pedantic, Mars, space, same bloody thing.

I said similar, not the same. And if space and Mars is the same then you're saying that the planets are not different to the unlimited space that they occupy. And if that was the case (which it isn't) then we'd have a very boring universe.

I didn't say same either. And space can be defined as any location out of the Earth's atmosphere. From the standpoint of this planet, they are pretty much the same.
