Okay time for a rant:

Seriously, what is it with this game? I bought it yesterday for 16 euros, worst purchase I ever made. What's the fun in walking 5 minutes, finally seeing an enemy and then either killing him or being killed. Not to mention the aim, it's so terrible, standing 3 feet away with kar98 aimed at the chest. You'd think it'd at least be a hit but nooooo I don't hit him..

Why doesn't steam give refunds...

NEVER BUY THIS GAME, EVER!

[/rant]

(Don't say 'OMG ur just nub!!1!!!1!' because I know I am and I know that's not the problem..)

Hey, Red Orchestra is an awesome game D: The problem you seem to be having is that you're too used to traditional run n gun FPS gameplay... Red Orchestra plays way much more like a realistic FPS (such as Op-flashpoint or ARMA), you really have to steady your aim, crouch, look down the ironsights to be able to hit anything... I supose those kind of games are not for you, you should have checked what the game was before you bought it...

If people and descriptions promise me "Action-packed gameplay" who am I not to believe that? If the action-to-waiting ratio is like 10 seconds to every 3 minutes it's not action packed. Even reading is better..

You say even reading is better like, reading is the worst thing you could do. Don't say a game sucks only cause it doesn't live up to what you think should be a good game. And if you want to ***** about a game at least do it properly with arguments. Though you did say it was a rant... *shrug*

The game is great and is a nice change after playing unrealistic shooters like L4D and TF2 where accuracy is pretty unrealistic (but its supposed to be, not complaining haha). Something I can say is you can't just play the game, you kinda need to be in the mood for it cause yes you are going to die alot. You can't spam grenade every corner so you're going to die often just by someone that is camping, but then u just go back and pre-nade it and move on. Yes the accuracy is rough when u r not propped up on something or laying down but thats for a reason. While crouched/prone/propped the kar98 is equal to a sniper rifle with accuracy. The reason why the accuracy isnt perfect is that you die from taking one or two shots, there will be a rare occasion when you'll take a few more but its not often. Being stuck with rifleman isn't the greatest thing either, semiauto you may have a chance at killing from the hip, but with boltaction its all about luck. In general the game mechanics are not the same as other shooters; you really need to lead people when shooting from far away, guns jam in really annoying spots, grenades are going to kill you (something you have to face is that if you're prone and some one hits you witha grenade there is almost no chance of u getting up in time and running out of range).

The game is good, I ended up grabbing it during a weekend deal awhile back and if I knew what a great game it was I would buy it full price. It's also a nice change not seeing Americans in a WWII game (thats right Russians and Germans only). Sorry you didnt like it, its not for everyone, but you have the game you're not getting the money back so pick it up when you feel like you can handle it and learn how the game works.
