'Tis a blue day indeed. For 6 months I have applied meticulous care. Surrounded it with fans to keep its exterior cool. Sat it atop a "heat dispersing" platform thingy I got at Wal-Mart. In a well ventilated area, dusted three times a week. Even rotated gaming between it and my PS3 so as not to overwork its little heart. Yet today as I prepared to tend my Viva Pinata garden, with a press of a button I became a victim, some may say a statistic. My 360 died. I never thought it would happen to me...
So here are my questions to anyone who might have some answers...
1) Has anyone seen any serious issues after recieving their 360 back from repair? Any performance degradation? Minor or major quirks, buggy gremlins or had their system just not seem like the box they had before?
2) Does anyone have any information on whether the RROD is an issue to the 360Elite? I know this question is a little broad. I currently own a Pro, and was thinking about upgrading to the Elite. As naive as it sounds, I have always just kind of assumed that the RROD was a plague to the Arcade and Pro models. I don't know anyone who owns the Elite, but if this(RROD) is an issue with THAT model as well I might as well just stay with my repaired PRO.
3) I plan on making my decision about what to do about my downed 'Box in the next day or so(I need time to mourn...and heal) If anyone can give me any things that should be addressed, or looked out for when going through the steps, should I get it repaired, I would TRULY appreciate it.
As always, thanks in advance to any and all who have time and two cents to share...
Keep on truckin'
