Years late to the party here, I had a friend of mine recap the entire of the RvB storyline to me like 2 years ago or so. Got bored and decided to watch some of it, ended up watching ALL of it (currently just finished series 8). Have to say... 6-8 is some of the best damn narrative I've seen.
Currently in the sad/happy revelation of the series 8 finale, and don't 100% get it I'll admit. I guess this post marks the start of trying to get more of my friends to watch it.

Welcome! You still have a whole season and 5 episodes to catch up on. GET ON IT!

But seriously, I've been watching RvB since I was 14 (9 years ago tomorrow), even though at the time my parents forbid me from playing it in the house because of the foul language. I managed to sneak it in whenever they weren't home, and I don't regret any of it. I may have a foul mouth today, but I'm glad I've been able to keep up with it over the years. It really is a great show, and that greatness survives the massive changes it's gone through lately, which is unusual for most shows these days.

Tell me about it, I was shocked at the changes after season 5 alone! But 6-8 was the best part by far. Feel a little crushed about how things ended with Church but it was a very good ending all the same.
Starting 9 now- it seems quite prequel-ish. Do they not follow the Gulch crew anymore?

Red vs Blue was better than I expected... but I wasn't a huge fan of how they made the entire series far more serious than it originally was supposed to be. It created some plot holes and the like.

Oh god yeah, plot holes like no other. The time travel thing is especially riddled, but it IS a comedy show so I kind of accept that...
Started 9, I'm actually very surprised they chose to follow Church into the Epsilon! I thought it was a great ending as it was. Kind of weird knowing what the truth of the matter is though.

It's split between the Blood Gulch crew and Project Freelancer. It makes the use of CGI fit a bit better, because there are separate machinima parts and CGI parts rather than a mishmash.

I'm enjoying RvB season 10 at the moment, the fact that the show now has brilliant action and an interesting plot as well as being hilarious is fantastic.

RVB Was never, ever funny.

I did like the Revelation Arc though. That fight with the Meta , Wash and Tex on the ice was so fucking cool man.

I stopped watching after Season 8 though.

Monty Oum! He's the man. ;P

But I guess the humor isn't for everyone. Hell, in an interview just today Burnie (voice of Church and owner of RT) said that when writing it, they ask themselves if they'd watch it and enjoy it and if they do, they keep it. Can't really ask them to do much different.

Everyone praises Caboose like he's some kind of comedy genius... I don't get it.

I mean he was kind of funny at first, but literally turned him into an idiot. And not just an idiot, like an idiotic idiot. Not funny..

Alright I have to admit, the Tex on MainxYorkxWyoming training scene was freaking epic. Actually starting to get into the whole Freelancer backstory going on.
Even though the original team is still my favourite part, gotta love the epic exposition.

You know what it reminds me of? The Horus Heresy in Warhammer 40k. Its the 'interesting event' that is always looked back on and referred to, and then they do prequel stories about it. It's like what Lucas WANTED Star Wars 1-3 to be, but didn't manage.

every one quotes caboose.
i personally dont really like the character much.
Also the point is that he is an idiot, all his humor comes from how utterly retarded he is.
