The closest thing recently for me is that last children of earth episode or torchwood.
The main character sacrifices his only grandson to save 10% of the children of earth and he had to watch him slowly, painfully and almost gruesomely die
Thats the closest, i could feel the emotion lining up everytime i get close but I never actually cry.
That was probably my most recent too.

Same for the Doctor Who Season 4 finale when Donna's returned to earth, I actually shed a tear or 2 for that one

The little story in the video here [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdB3MK1rtoo] is rather moving.

This is the first time I'm glad there is anonymity on the internet.

The two that stick out for me are:

1) When the dog dies in 'I am Legend' (the Will Smith version). I think it's because I have a puppy.

2) When Leo McGarry dies on the West Wing. It was even sadder because they had to write that in because the actor who plays that character (John Spencer) died while they were filming that season.

I definitely tear up once in a while, things like the conclusion FF7:Crisis Core, were just really emotional. But as of yet I've never cried for a game or movie.

Well The Front Runner (Novel) made me cry near the end.

ICO also made me cry at its conclusion.

Thin Red line (movie) also made me cry along with Schindler's List.

I have cried to a lot more movies, but i can't think of anymore for the time being.

I got pretty damn emo at the end of Vampire Knight...maybe it had something to do with Yuuki leaving and Zero promising to kill her...it's not right!!!

I feel a bit silly about this, but in inFamous...
When Trish died and Cole tried to save her but couldn't because he's uselss. I didn't even like Trish, so I don't know why I was sad.
I'm not sure if you take the other karma option she lives, but I managed to make the choice that nearly made me cry.
I need to stop admitting to things that make me sad, I feel like such a pansy.

EDIT:
Oh, just remembered, in Elite Beat Agents...
The christmas episode with "You're the Inspiration". If Daddy dieing didn't tug at your heart, you have no soul.

only 3 .. the ungodly trinity are

2. (Anime) Elfen Lied
3. (Game) Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater
That's kinda the same for me, cept the game. Paper Mario 2 takes it with Captian Bobbery's wife. and if it's a song, well... One Last Goodbye by Anathema

I was really really close to tears in the "Second Skin" documentary when that poor mother (who I didn't really like, but sort of understood her plight) found her son in front of his computer having shot himself with (I think it was) Everquest still running. That's just a massive poster situation for people needing to be a little bit careful with MMOs. They're great, I've played a few and clocked a collectively large number of hours on them, but every time I find myself neglecting the real world's responsibilities in favor of a virtual one's, I take a break for a few months. Wish more people did the same.

EDIT: also, as far as actual games go, a few hours after playing a couple of girls' stories on "The Path", the whole 'I chose for that to happen' thing sort of hit me, and I didn't cry but I was quite upset by it, and I didn't play any games for about a week or two actually, I just didn't want to...it gave me a really interestingly fresh perspective on games.

Didn't last, Ryu > Ruby.

The ending to Click made me cry but the one that makes me cry every time is Charlotte's Web.

I cried until my eyes physically hurt when I saw the film Boys Don't Cry.
And even more so because it was based on a true story.
