'Refer to the wiki' games.

Most Grand Strategy titles have me regularly using the wiki for the first 100 hours, and even after that I may have to consult it about specific/obscure information here and there.

Manual or not, I still refer to the wiki whenever I have questions about a game's mechanics, etc. It's quicker to just do a google search than flip through a manual. And the wiki usually goes into a lot more detail.

If there is a manual, I'll usually flip through it when I first get the game and then never look at it again.

Oh, and I am so guilty of using the Terraria wiki.

Oh gods, me too. Especially around the time of a major update.

A new content update would come out, like the 1.2 or 1.3 patch, and I'd think, "Right. Gonna play the game and see what's new. Should be fun!" Not but a few days later, it'd be straight to the wiki, perusing the entirety of the update pages.

If its not explained in the game, its bad design, and I will lose interest very quickly.
