just a couple of things that i noticed. when a child looks at your player and if you have good kharma, he or she will remark "i know you, you're one of the good guys!" this is a reference to the book "The Road" by Cormack McCarthy.

in megaton, the church of the atom and later on the holy light monastery who worship the bombs is directly from the movie "Beneath the Planet of the Apes" this movie also might be the source of the inspiration for the Ghouls, as there are people who live underground and look ghoulish

if you find any more references, post them.

what do you think?

by the way, if you havent already, you should watch planet of the apes and its sequel, which i have mentioned above. i mean the 1968 version, not the remake

When Brian Wilkes is in that security tube thingy in the "Those" quest he says "Now I know what a tv dinner feels like." Die Hard reference for the win.

I'm almost considering getting Fallout 1 for that scene only.

In the originals there were literally thousands of references. The leather jacket is a reference to mad max, Dogmeat is a referenceto a boy and his dog. There's a character that shouts 'Oh my god they killed kenny' when you shoot a police officer called kenny. You met a rusted figure in power armour, who asks you for an 'oil can' a la Wizard Of Oz.

In the new one they were a little more subtle. The lost numbers are the combination for Billy Creel's safe. Eulogy's favourite slaves are called crimson and clover.
