Question to the escapist, is it weird for a guy to love her music?

If you haven't heard of her then hears a link to one of her best songs

Not weird at all. She's great.

She's also very um... talented.

EDIT: Although i would question the song you chose as "her best". Fidelity, and Samson i thought were a lot better.

It's Regina dammit, get it right!

And yes, yes I think it's fine, and if you don't think so, me and the DJ are gonna burn this goddamn house right down.

Yeah, I really enjoy her music too. Samson is one of my favourite songs. Oh, and Music Box (I think that's what it's called, anyways) is great.

There's nothing wrong with liking music whether you're a guy or girl. What matters is that you like the music you listen to.

It's the complext melodies and vocal techniques that make her MUCH more than just OK. those unconventional almost weird things she does with her voice during the chorus, most obvious is the staccato 'contag-i-ous', never heard it done before. I think that's what makes her so special. I also liked 'Fidelity', and though i haven't listened to any others, she sure has talent.

These simple and unconventional yet beautifully complex songs Regina makes is a breath of fresh air in the modern watered-down mu$ic indu$try. Mindless fans of the likes of Cash-a and Shitney Spears probly wouldn't understand.

Don't let anyone tell you its weird for a guy to like anything. Jeez, these preconceptions on what a guy or girl is "supposed" to be is holding us back as a sociality.

Even if it was weird, who cares? If you like it, then listen to it, screw everyone else.

I used to be obsessed with Regina. She's very talented and original.

One of my favourite songs by her.

This, a million times, this.

Edit: OT: Today it's pretty common to see female singers coming up with great quality music.

Nah, Regina Spektor is cool. "Samson" is one of the most touching songs ever written...but obviously she has plenty of other songs that aren't so touchy-feely but just as good. I had never heard "Us" before, it's pretty good. She and Ben Folds do a great duet together:
