Grand Theft Auto 4 - Over rated piece of junk that wasn't nearly as good as GTA:SA or Vice City.
Madden 09 - Not because its not good, simply because I clearly know nothing about American Football.
World Of Warcraft - God I almost cry when I think about how much life I pished away playing that game.
Some other notable mentions games that gave me a headache playing them and so quickly got discarded.
Quake Wars: Enemy Territory
Age Of Conan - Could be WoW burnt me out on MMORPGS.
Pirates of the Burning Sea. I waited for this game for yonks, it was so disappointing to finally play it. + see AoC

What?!?! why idnt you like it? expect for the temple that you had to always go back to was a bit annoying
Thats exactly why I didn't like it. I know it wasn't bad... that was the only fault I found with it but it was such a massive game ruining flaw that I couldnt bear it.
I love Zelda, I think its' the greatest series ever so I suppose I was just annoyed that the series was blemished by such a silly decision.

All of my Valve games, why? Because I got VAC banned for no reason, and no I didn't cheat.
aw, dude that sucks
sorry to hear.
I can't imagine parting with my TF2
Dont go berserk and hate valve though, it was probably a honest mistake

ever since bioshock COD4 Rainbow 6 Halo 3 and basically 2007, alot of crap RPG and shooters have turned up (Sonata, Lost Ody, Devil may cry 2 and all games with men looking like women).

For me (360 owner), I am going to head for Gears 2, Fable 2 and Red Alert 3

On topic: Peter Jackson's King Kong, first game after I got the 360 during launch. Had to buy it and kill the initial time.

I had that happen to me with FFIIj. I had played about 5-10 hours but then came into my exam period at Uni so stopped playing. Came back about 2 months later at a complete loss as to what to do, I've found the completely non-linear nature and the ability to travel literally everywhere near enough immediately quite a refreshing experiece with the older Final Fantasy's. However when coming back after an absence it is an issue.

To quell the issue read a wikipedia summary of the plot up to where you got to. Whilst you won't remember everything it will remind you of everything that's happened and if need be read the next sentence to see where to go.

Total War Medievel II Collectors edition. Sure, nice chunky box and assorted novelty items. Worth paying double the regular edition price? Not really.

I'm already beserk with Valve, I played TF2 every freaking day and then they perma ban me for no reason, and it might have been an honest mistake but they don't admit that a software can't be perfect and that VAC doesn't make mistakes or false positives and that really grinds my nut sack.

I also regret buying Halo for the PC, went to see what all the fuss was about and got ripped out of 10?.

You mean like a copy of COD4 on the PS3 if you already have the 360 one?

Guild Wars: Nightfall. I didn't like MMO's before it, I heard it was like Diablo in ways. I found out after this that people are just stupid.

Soulcalibur IV. Possibly the only game I have ever pre-ordered and one of the few I've ever spent top-dollar on. Thought it was going to be worth it and it just wasn't; would've been much happier spending more like $30 on it or even renting.

Two Worlds.

I bought two copies of the Collector's Edition from the store a certain somebody on this site works at, one for me and one for him, after the manager (mis)informed we could play it together.
The multiplayer was terrible. Like, completely unforgivably awful and not at all what we expected.

So much money, so very, very wasted.
Keep in mind, in Canada, games are about $10 more expensive than they are in the states-- although our wallets don't get as viciously raped as the 'stralians, apparently.
I think the boxes were about $80 a pop, each? Maybe $70, but I really doubt it?

In any case, the two of us just sort of struggled through the single player and multi modes, praying it'd get better eventually, and it just. never. did.
Oh, god. Somebody. Please. Hold me.

Believe me, everyone in Australia knows how you feel.

$100 for a new game, $69.95 for something that's been out for 6 months or so.
Eh.

Tell me how is DMC 4 better on the 360? And why compare LoZ: TP with okami? it's like comparing Castlevania with Vampire the masquerade.

I regret the purchase of EWJ2 for GBA I loved the PC version but they totally ruined it with a version that has more bugs then insecticide. by the great worm spirit who's essence is that of all things slippery. why?
In order.

A: No half hour install.
B: 1080 as opposed to 720
C: The ps3's R2 button is the stuff of nightmares.

Okami borrowed wholesale from Legend of Zelda, look at any review and they'll tell you the games play out in a very similar way, the only difference being Okami has better graphics (Despite a weaker system) and at least one innovative idea.

Even though I'll probably get flamed to death *dons his flame-shield for dramatic effect* I gotta go with every GTA game from 3 onward. I got GTA III when it first came out because I heard about how great it was from friends, etc. I played it for a week or so and it never really engaged me.

I did like that they had Michael Rappaport doing a voice for one of the characters though, he's an under-appreciated actor, but aside from that I found the game boring, repetitive, and simply gratuitous violence for the sake of violence.

So, a couple years go by and I decide to give the franchise another try, so I bought a copy of Vice City. Sure, it was nice to hear all the 80s toons in the game, but again it was more of the same. Gratuitous violence for its own sake, boring gameplay, and nearly broken controls if you had to shoot someone.

So, what did I do a couple years later? You guessed it, I picked up San Andreas at a pawn shop for 5 bucks and hated that game as well. I started occupying myself by making CJ as fat as I possibly could and giving him the biggest 'fro I could get rather than playing the missions since it was more fun, but even that failed to keep my attention long.

This time around I finally wised up, I did not(and will not) purchase GTA IV. The series is utter garbage and I am finally done with it.

On a side-note, two other games I got that I found to be gratuitous violence for the sake of violence games that I couldn't stand were Manhunt and The Suffering. Who knows, maybe I'm just too old school, maybe I expect my games to be more lighthearted and fun instead of M rated crapfests filled with gore, violence, and vulgar language for no other reason than just to sell the game.

These days I take great care before I lay down my money on an M rated game, I do research and try my best to make sure the game isn't just another game cashing in on being "edgy" simply to sell more units to teenage boys whose parents don't take the time to properly filter the media they digest.
