I have a situation. I told my best friend which particular girl I like. Now I have a feeling that when he is smashed or even slightly drunk on a gig he'll confess it to her. Now when that happens what do you do? Btw I know this girl and we've talked recently.

So... what's the problem, exactly?
If he'll confess, so what? Then at least she'll know.
It's better just to act rather than be timid and shy about things.
You'll never know if she likes you back unless she knows you like her.
If he tells her, then own up to it and say you like her.

Either that, or just feign ignorance if or when he tells somebody.

Drunk people can easilly be passed of as talking nonsense.

That's a difficult question (Well it is for me) As far as I'm concerned there are no proper ways of asking someone out, then again there's alot of bad ways. For me it always seems of have "happened".

Do what feels right, you'll have to push outside of your comfort zone. Confidence counts for alot. But you'll never know unless you take the plunge

Better yet, tell each friend a different secret. That way you can identify which one(s) are untrustworthy rather than having to assume they all are.

As for him blurting it out when drunk, so what? Unless you're one of those odd people who want to secretly watch their desire secretly through a bush your whole life, nothing terrible will come from her finding out one way or another. Unless she found out by finding you in the bush. That would be terrible.

Pretty much, yeah.
Just own up to it. Don't put blame on someone else. Just admit to liking her and tell her how you feel.
Better than not saying anything at all.

i was in a very similar situation in my youth there was this girl i liked and a mate and i talked about it and i did not trust him to keep the secret when he was hammered so long story short i told her before he did because it would seem a lot braver than your shitfaced friend to tell her for you and by doing so you exude confidence that women pick up on. it works after i told her bought her a drink we went back to her place and had a good poke so you never know what could happen.
